A 7.41 ERA. He’s up there with millionaire Ryan Weiss who gets $2.6 million to pitch bad. Lance steals $15 million.
That’s bad but he recognized it was going to be a strike and tried a 911 emergency hack. Altuve looked late swinging on a ball that was never a strike.
I’m trying to think of a guy that’s had this much up and down in this short of a time that as it turns out his goose IS indeed cooked. He’s always been made of glass but there’s just too many flags. Can’t start, can’t BP, can’t get it across, there’s no where to put him anymore.
Lance spiked a bunch of balls. There were a couple that Salazar probably should’ve been able to block.
Time to clean house on the pitchers. Let's cut the guys not performing. We need to make some trades for just component mediocre pitchers. Crane needs to pay the tax because it's his guy who wasted money this offseason. Let's just buyout Imai and cut Mccullers.
If he’s adamant about playing this out all the way, move him into the pen and give him a short leash. If he goes more than 4-5 appearances (which would come over just a couple weeks) in relief without showing he can be effective then that choice comes off the table and they either put him on the 60 day IL or DFA him.
SP depth is the only thing keeping Lance on this roster, but he can't go more than a couple innings anyway so what's the difference?
