I know Espada isn’t popular around here. But seriously, this team has about five major league quality players in the lineup right now. I’ve never even heard of many of the players they rolling out each night.
The Red Sox will claim that they fired him because of their record - but this was about a lot of stuff. Cora has had a lot of personal issues, he also had more power than any other manager… so the front office were happy to grab that power.
A couple years ago I posted about how Brown believed that Jacob Melton could steal 80 or more bases in a big league season. I remember thinking that was a lot --- no one was doing that, and it had been since Rickey Henderson and Vince Coleman since we saw that. Well in AAA this year, Jacob Melton has played in 20 games.... and in those 20 games he has 18 stolen bases and has been caught 0 times. He still is striking out too much, but when he does get on base he is running just about every chance he can, and no one is coming close to stopping him.
When he’s good Framber, he’s a Top 5 pitcher. When he’s bad Framber, you consider institutionalizing him.
Kinda weird game that Tigers-Red Sox. You almost never see number 1 level SP being hanged up on the mound like that when game is already lost especially when the real 1 is injured. Red Sox kept pounding the ground and on bouncy field Tigers could't catch anything. Probably Framber acting out on his defense losing him pile of money (only 1 error recorded) and Hinch trying to teach a lesson leaving him in. Framber started to throw meatballs and finally when got ejected he looked so happy as "finally get me the fk out of here". So glad that this cancer is out of Houston.
Yeah, our pitching sorely misses him even with his inconsistency and he will forever be a legend for 2022. However I am thrilled to be off Frambers wild ride. At least we know whose gonna suck for us now and can try to plan accordingly.
Framber was pissed because the red sox baserunners were tipping his grip to the hitters. They were cheating. It’s the red sox.
Except stealing signs is not cheating. It's only cheating if you use outside resources like video/electronics/etc. Even Hinch came out against Valdez - should be fun to see how that goes.
I mean he obviously threw at the guy's head . So yeah , no one should have his back If you're gonna be a little punk , at least hit the guy on the ass or in the thigh.
