Brown did not have great things to about Ime. The Rockets will not be contenders as long as Ime is coach.

Not on that contract, no team would pay that much for Brown (on the borderline of #1 / #2 option) at age 29 on a supermax deal.

The most likely outcome is that Boston just continues on with the Jays and moves pieces around the periphery.

White might be a more realistic acquisition, but he doesn't make much sense for us either (too old)

Tatum at 28 would be great, but I don’t see Boston going for it.

Well they could bite on this.
    Jabari Smith
    Fred Van Vleet
    S. Adams
    Dorian Finnley Smith -
    4 First rd Draft picks

    For

    Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser

Rockets would have to give that swap, this is basically giving Boston chance to rebuild around Tatum.

Keep vets in place for Boston to compete. Im sure Fred be excited to play in boston and move back to east.

This signals win now, and build around what they have.

Durant, Eason , Reed, Hauser, Brown, Amen, and Sengun. Now thats a team!

Takes care of your shooting problems, and keeps the defense!

Our shooting problems were because of spacing and a coach that doesn’t understand offensive basketball. Brown shot less than 35% from 3 last year and is less than 36% from 3 in his career. Jabari, Tari, Okogie, Durant, Reed all shot better than Brown from 3. Hauser is a career journeyman and brings nothing more from the bench role than Reed. Terrible trade. Jaylen Brown is not the answer, firing Ime and getting good young players that can create and shoot 3’s is.

You have to unload alot of first to get Durant next to Brown, Hauser, and Reed(Seems like alot of shooting there). Seems like they do it if they wanted to move on from Brown. But i think they would prefer Giannis.

The guy who led his team to 56 wins with Queta, Hauser, White and Pritchard?

I'd trade a LOT for him. Probably a lot more than most people would.

I think Jaylen wants his own team and this year might be the breaking point for him. He clearly wants MVP, was angling for it all season long, and that's not going to happen when Tatum is on his team at this point since they are both going to get in the way of each other getting MVP.

Bro really said this was the most fun he's had his career (despite winning a championship) and now Tatum is going to be back and he's going to go back to being Robin. Rumors that him and Tatum don't really hang out or vibe much too. I could see him pushing to get out BUT he doesn't really get to pick his team because he has 3 years left on his contract so it'd be a bidding war.

It would probably take gutting the team to get him at that point unless he names the teams he wants to play for and tell teams he won't be happy going elsewhere but still...we saw a team ignore those wishes for Kawhi with one year left on a contract I'm sure many teams would ignore it with 3. So unless Boston REALLY likes Alpi or something it would probably take too much to get him.

I wonder if KD might actually make some sense in their situation. He could keep them right in it the next two seasons and open up the possibility of having some serious cap space the year after that, which is (for the moment, extensions will be signed) a massive-looking free agent class. I think it would take a huge amount of draft capital if it was KD though.

All Boston needs is a center to run it back. I’m thinking they find a way to get that done without trading Tatum or Brown. Maybe just re-sign Vucevic.

Tatum yes, Brown No. Mitchell > Brown

FVV/Tari for Dwhite is the correct trade, add picks to get it done

Would Celtics do Amen + Sengun for J Brown? :p

Brad would at least pause on the phone, right? :D

Considering that this team is full of franchise players, not sure we can trade enough of them away to make sure Brown is happy. He probably would need a guarantee that he is the lone franchise player.

I am probably wrong, but I thought Brown liked Udoka. But maybe I’m wrong. Brown is a very intelligent person and I could see him wanting a team of his own, but he is going to be very analytical in where he goes.

his contract relative to his age does hurt his value

    Brown+Hauser for Durant+Capela+FVV

This gives Boston a chance to win it all over the next next couple years and gives them some roster flexibility.

You could still keep FVV, but bring him off the bench...Reed should be our backup shooting guard. He plays best off-ball and not as our primary ballhandler

Jalen Brown is a top tier defender who could replace Amen, but I would prefer to trade Jabari instead of Amen...

Most of Clutchfans really? Where are you getting this from? I've never seen anyone here say they wouldnt want JB. You got this from people calling KD old. And youre confounding people not wanting a 38 year old with people not wanting a 30 year old lol
