A PG likes James would’ve helped this team tremendously down the stretch. I’m is a hack

Fertitta created a toxic environment built on ineptitude. He inherited a championship level team that was #1 in the conference and in less than 4 years took it to a LAST place conference team. A great demotivator. You can't make this stuff up. All the great talent left (aka CP3, D'Antoni, Harden) and those that were left were just getting a paycheck. Why would Harden want to stay when your offensive minded head coach guru, who won more games in his three seasons as HC, than in any three-year stretch in franchise history, says he doesn't want to continue with the Rockets? Harden is no different than JJ Watts and Deshaun of the Texans, who wanted out of a toxic underachieving culture. Can you blame Harden or anyone else who has ambition for wanting out when they are at the peak of their careers? As I mentioned it is a graveyard for those seeking a championship. Why do you think KD is happy to sit out the playoffs. He's just getting a paycheck.

I'm not sure how we would have matched the salary, but DFS would have been involved, so it's a bummer that we didn't get rid of him before he was exposed as a zero.

I was a so called Harden critic but it is fair to say that both sides were no saints in this.....

And at the end the organization could not give Harden what he wanted, and he wanted a lot......

D'antoni was ok, he is no Rick Adelman. Harden is a good iso player that has great court vision, good for him, but he is no point guard though. His setting up the offense consisted of finding himself shots. Harden wanted CP3 gone because he wanted Westbrook here. Lets not have revisionist history. Are best years with Harden was when we made the WCF with Josh Smith and D. Howard and it wasn't because of Harden. Also the year CP3 went down. Our best option was to keep CP3 and run it back but every star you get Harden he clashes with because he can't take criticism and has to be the absolute focal point. Yes I can blame Harden because he complained more than he sacrificed for this team. He did great things here but he could have done greater things if he wasn't selfish and I don't mean in terms of basketball or not passing.

why would they bring him back? He created a lot of drama during his exit. He was part of a toxic environment and culture during the MDA years that gave him a lot of privileges and leeway.

Some things are better left in the past.

Not really. Harden's not interested in winning if he's not getting his stats

The guys who can't get over Harden can't fathom we'd rather lose in the first round with the 2nd youngest starting lineup in playoff history than make the second round with James Harden.

If the argument is we would have won more games, you're totally misreading the room. That argument is not going to move anyone. We would rather tear the entire thing down than watch Harden win f*ck-all for 2 years while hogging possessions from the kids. We can just watch FVV and Durant do the same thing.

Learn to move on and stop being so clingy.

Morey quit. Harden was consulted on the Silas hiring.

What you assert is false and you’re excusing a dude who quit on the franchise.

agreed, but harden was paid a lot of money to suit up. He signed a contract. He showed up fat and uninterested. He quit on the team. If players don't want to be obligated to play for an organization then they can put their terms in the contract (it would likely cause them to lose a lot of money of course).

Harden and Fertita being cancers is not mutually exclusive

I’m not pining for a Harden return. He has the same sort of odd, aloof personality of Durant where they’re these all-time great players that lack a sort of quality that makes you doubt their ability to lead teams.

Beyond how Harden exited Houston, I still think of some of his odd playoff performances where he seemed to shut down or disappear. It wasn’t even that he “choked” and flailed wildly from the pressure. It was like someone removed his battery.

Nothing for or against harden but stone should be fired regardless, he is a terrible gm, and his vision is beyond stupid, I am okay with udoka but definitely hot seat but I rather fire stone first

It is now ironic that the Clippers and Cavs are seeing a Harden with a stable life partner and kids while Houston Harden was about strip clubs, rappers, honey buns and Vegas.....

And Harden actively taking care of his mother and his own offspring.

I find it interesting that people have hatred for Harden
Those same people are complaining about the same **** Harden was complaining about
    HAD HE STAYED
We would be back in the doledrums of picking 14th but all these years
looking for a diamond in the rough who slides past other teams
    PERIOD
The team would have been too good for us to tank
but Too Bad for a Championship.

If Stone did not turn the picks he got for Harden into gold
What makes us think he would have done better at 14?

CP3 literally wore out his welcome everywhere he went
HArden wasn't the reason we wen with Howard and Smith? Seriously?
Let me guess. . . the *1* comeback game?

Harden played like the coaches wanted him to play
Which coach that we had said. . . .. I wish he would have done _________
I told him to do ______ but he didn;t?
    Which one?

    Harden was on the inside
    He saw something in Silas
that this board was SCREAMING ABOUT the whole time he was here
He just made it known early

the guy brings a lot of regret and trauma baggage for the fanbase, but he seems like a better influence than KD now that he's grown up
