We have a different definition of mediocrity. The Texans org has been mediocre since their inception and this is just the latest edition of the fan base lapping up what they are selling. I would love to be wrong but history is what it is.
The QB will have to make plays at some point if this team is going to win a championship. Look at Darnold as an example. You make it seem like Mertz could lead the team to a championship.
Except CJ hasn't been the same since the severe concussion last season and may never be the same again.
I'm hoping we see a DE and maybe an experienced RB signed before training camp. If Will, Danielle or David Montgomery gets hurt, we have a huge problem at the most important positions for our offense and defense, with limited backups (I don't want to see Woody Marks as a bellcow back with super young backups).
They will likely get a DE in FA market, plenty left out there that are older but still effective. As for RB, not many out there so let us hope Monte holds up.
I hope they bring Barnett back. They have high hope for Robinson and I would never bet against Meco's eye for talent on the defensive side of the ball.
Not sure what that's based off of but we play the afc north and nfc east along with the chargers, bills and packers, and that's without mentioning the afc south. We're going to be good but I'm not seeing any "easy" games
