Jaylen brown carried the Boston Celtics this past season to the playoffs with Tatum being out. Although both were drafted by the Celtics. It's clear the favorite of the two in Boston is Tatum. Even after putting up a good season for his team he still does not receive the accolades he deserves. He is recently being scapegoated by the media for the Celtics first round exit. They are putting pressure to trade him for Giannis and the rockets may be able to get involved in that trade if it does happen. I think now would possibly be a good time to trade for him as we have his former coach Ime and KD. Assuming KD remains I would hope we could keep Amen and Jabari while adding Jaylen Brown. Thoughts?
Sengun/Capela/FVV for Brown/Hauser/FRP seems to make some sense in looking at their roster. they get a cost controlled star and honestly, the other two can help them. DFS and picks from Boston and 29 Phoenix pick for Okongwu. Okongwu/Adams Smith/Hauser Brown/Eason Durant/Okogie Amen/Reed
Most CF users will say: No, he’s too old. About to be 30 and has had injuries. Huge contract! Not going to let our future young guys grow.
Rockets gotta do something because depending on Sengun’s fat ass to show up in the playoffs for a 3rd straight year is a fool’s errand Sengun is a big with 45.7% shooting and 52% TS for his playoff career as a big taking like 90% of his shots in the paint How do you say trash in Turkish?
I would rather have Tatum, he's younger and I think he's more talented if he can get back to 100% physically, but I'd take Brown at this point. I would rather trade KD for one of the two than Sengun obviously, but if they demanded Alpi I'm good with it. I'm not sure Boston pulls the trigger though. They already made moves to get their payroll under control and continue to build around the Jays. You never know I guess.
I don't think Boston would care to trade Brown for KD, that seems like a downgrade. I don't think I'd trade Alpy for Brown due to age and contract
If they want Giannis then we should help facilitate a 3 team trade for Brown or Tatum. Either would be better then what we have right now.
I know there's people that have done far worse things objectively, but he's one of the most unlikeable players in NBA history to me. I'd probably stop being a fan for whatever duration he would be on the team. I do agree Rockets need to do something though.
Ya he's probably the one player in the league who's not a warriors player that i would not be able to root for on the rockets. He's also a HORRENDOUS contract so if you take him on you HAVE to get assets.
I posted this in a diff thread Alpi to Bucks Giannis to Celtics Brown to Rockets get rid of Capela and DFS - go after Grimes or Ayo Ayo/Reed KD/Grimes Brown Amen Bari I would love a stretch C - Turner, Okungwu, J Smith from Bulls I would get rid of FVV also but Ime won’t
If they're trading him for Giannis, why would the Bucks let us get Brown (a legit superstar caliber talent) and take our scraps? It's crazy talk, they'd have to be stupid.
This has been discussed here before plenty. I doubt he is available.. Why would Boston trade him? I'd assume Bucks would want Brown lol.
I hate to bust people hype bubble but It would probably cost us Amen, Durant, 2 first for them to even get into a conversation with us. Just saying...
