Reed definitely improved a lot this year. I am looking forward to another year where he is able to improve on his physical conditioning. He won’t get taller, but he can get faster and stronger.

I’m still very optimistic about his long-term outlook.

Great analysis, but how did you not end it with "OMG let's trade him he sucks"? ;)

Um, AlP is a 2 time allstar. Is he a superstar? No, but he's still young and still has potential. Also, do you remember the part where he's a 2 time allstar?

What is the point of spamming negative ****? We already know he had a terrible series. Let's talk about how he can get better cus I don't think he's going anywhere.

People just totally dismiss the fact that he was being guarded by one of the only guards to ever win dpoy.

Objectively speaking it was a bad bad series

But how many conclusions are you going to draw from a guy getting first season of regular minutes being Thrown into his first playoffs while the best player is sitting out?

not a ton. Harden was a legit superstar, his first series against OKC with us was pretty bad as well

Well the credibility of what is a star comes into question doesn’t it? Not a hard concept to grasp

Buddy, you can't have a rational argument or debate and you just think you are right all the time, classic narcissism. You can't even argue why all of clutchfans is so divided on Sengun and think you are right lmao. That's actually kind of pathetic; imaging getting so butthurt someone disagreed with you and instead of hearing them out and being open minded, you want to fellate yourself to your own thoughts

You are probably wrong about Reed, but comparing him in any way to Houston Harden is just egregious. Did sheppard score damn near 80 points in his first 2 games with us, and drag a team to the playoffs that started Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons as his top offensive options? I get believing in Reed (kinda) but all these comparisons to all time greats and MVPs need to stop.

Curry year 2 averaged 19 and 6 with 44% three point shooting. Reed isn't even remotely close right now.

Nash looks a little closer on the surface, but you have to consider that he started his career at one of the lowest-scoring periods in NBA history. Offense was only 80% of what it is today. And despite that, Nash scored more efficiently than Reed and created significantly more assists per possession/minute. (Reed's scoring volume is slightly higher before you adjust for the offensive era.) And of course Nash is the exception, not the rule, in terms of starting out slow and turning out to be an all-timer.

I just don't know where our front office comes up with this stuff, and apparently other front offices don't either.

I like Reed, but right now his most likely outcome is nowhere near the guys they mentioned. At the moment he's looking something like a 4th/5th starter or a 6th man.

Is Reed Sheppard a poor man's Lou Williams?

If he's a 6th man, he will be a very good one, I have little doubt of that--possibly better than Sweet Lou.

But that is a much more likely outcome than some of these lofty perennial all-star comparisons.
