•Fred, Steven & Dori are coming back healthy
    •Improvement from kids
•Change the offense, hire an offensive coordinator? No need to. Fred, Steven & Dori are coming back.
•Get a PG or insurance guard? No. Fred is coming back
•Get a shooter? No, don’t want just a shooter. Fred is also coming back.
•See eye to eye on literally everything
•Vibes are spectacular. Chemistry on point. Burner accounts? Totally laughable.

I am sorry, but VanVleet coming back from injury is not the same in his age 31 season is not the same as Jordan coming back from his foot injury in his age 23 season... more likely he ends up like post-injury Brandon Roy or Tracy McGrady.

If you know this about bug eyes, don’t you think that the other GMs are hip to his bullsh*t too? Or is Pat Riley just a casual like us?

Worth pointing out that this is the 3rd yr they’ve said that internal growth will result in better outcomes. Specifically they said that last season and it did not lead to a better outcome. Don’t let these guys get away with saying the same things every yr when objective fact shows they are wrong.

You'd think we'd beaten the Lakers with ease in 5 and pushed OKC to a hard fought 6 game series with the way they talked today.

He doesn’t make all the draft selections. He and his teamwork on the draft but he doesn’t make the picks or the final call.

Takeaway from the press: there is truly very little to like about Stone.

LOL first answer and he brings up the injury excuse. He is the one that targeted old, high mileage guys with injury risks.

Of course they're not going to come out and say "We hate X player and we're gonna trade him ASAP", nor should they, but the nature of some of these responses is troubling. Straight-out stating that they don't expect to change the coaching staff at all disturbs me after what we just watched unfold. That's a pretty hard statement that leaves little room for anything beyond either, they're blatantly lying to all of our faces, or they legitimately just think everything is fine with the coaching.

Of course presenting a strong front and faith in your players for future negotiations, yes, but where you place the emphasis says a lot, and that they're emphasizing so strongly that they think the problem was just injuries concerns me. One of the things you'll often see in these pressers is subtle signals to other front offices that a team is open for business and aggressively pursuing changes, even while still putting up a strong front. I'm not seeing much of that here.

And some of the lies are just so blatant that it's insulting. Locker room was fine, no issues whatsoever, Stone and Udoka agree on everything, etc. If you're trying to establish a believable narrative, nobody buys that kind of talk.

The highlight of hilarity was when Stone said bringing in KD was not about contending and that he’s good for the young guys.

Almost as big of a joke as the Easterby lead Texans. They talk about FVV like he's Magic or Chris Paul.

So an oft injured VanVleet starting the season, along with an oft injured Adams eventually returning, along with a completely washed Finney-Smith returning "healthy" will be enough to win a championship.

It is like Portland blaming injuries when they intentionally banked on Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, and Sam Bowie.
