I was listening to the presser in the car in between meetings...

AND MY GAWD THESE PEOPLE ARE DELUSIONAL.

Depending on 3 players fresh off of injuries is not the recipe for success.

No changes to the coaching staff and no commitment to changes to the offense beyond "getting guys back". Okay then.

Ask how much Durant social media effected the team.

"Next year when my injury prone center, 38 year old shooting guard and 32 year old point guard off of an ACL are healthy we should be fine"

    Is basically what they said.

    How were the vibes/chemistry?

Udoka: For us, almost a little laughable when you hear things. Where the hell did this come from? They all make jokes about the vibes. I’ve been in bad situations and we’re far from that. We almost turned a blind eye to it and almost a joke out of it more than anything. DOn’t put much stock into it and neither do the guys.

Stone: I did find it interesting the faces I see every day didn’t write about it.

Stone should be fired for this press conference alone.

He comes off as horribly insecure, dismissive, snarky and condescending.

That was a ****ing joke. I'm sorry. That press conference was a joke...

So. The problems we all saw were basically just our imagination.

How do you resolve when you don’t see eye to eye?

Stone: Reason it works well because what I see what’s happening on the court or in the locker room, we see the same thing. It becomes brainstorming how to fix or enhance it. I don’t remember anything of significance where we did disagree. When that happens, I’ll get back to you.

Udoka: Aligned on everything. People we’ve targeted/liked, not like he forced me to.

    Tldr

Our savior FVV will fix everything. With a side of Steven Adams

Stone is nothing but lawyer speak. Says a bunch of nothing but it covers his ass and sounds good

missed about half of this but I heard a lot of injury excuses. A lot of delusional thinking about Fred, Steveo and DFS coming back next season and playing like they never had injuries. Rafel and Ime supposedly never disagree about anything. And and the locker room vibes have been great all season.

Maybe that's a bad thing. High performance is usually about challenging each other. Mediocrity is comfortable.

♦️ We’re good. Run it back
♦️ Adams, FVV, DFS all being healthy + young core development is enough to win it all
♦️ Some changes on the fringes to the roster are likely (guys 12-15) + always open to opportunistic trades
♦️ No changes to the offense and no changes to coaching staff. Having guys healthy fixes everything

remember when he called out the fans for his own remarks on "is this not our year?" You got two pompous idiots in Ime and Stone running this team after they got embarrassed against a team missing their 2 top players for the majority of the series

After this press conference, both Udoka and Stone need to be fired immediately.

What do people expect to hear in these press conferences? Do you think it's some sort of under oath deposition to fan questioning?

The purpose is to disseminate the org's preferred narrative prior to whatever plans they actually want to pursue this offseason.

Does nobody remember the Jalen Green hagiography in last years post-season press conference? Right before trading him away?

It is a GM's job to convince teams/players/agents/media that he believes things he does not in fact believe.
