I think the Rockets should flip their plan completely upside down this off-season and instead of playing big bully ball, they should play Uber small ball. Trade Durant for Morant Trade Sengun for LaMelo Trade Jabari for Kyrie Re-Sign Eason New Roster P.G. - Ja Morant S.G. - Kyrie Irving S.F. - LaMelo Ball P.F. - Amen Thompson ..C. - Tari Eason
This team would be entertaining to watch on offense, but I'm not sure it would actually be good on that end of the court, and it would be in the vicinity of the worst defensive teams in the league. Also, it's hard to imagine fielding a more egotistical trio of off-the-court idiots than Morant, Irving, and Ball.
Yeah the Bridges contract being eye of the beholder right now based on his play this season is I think what makes the trade interesting. I’m never been a huge Bridges guy personally, but to me he seems like a prime bounce back candidate next year in a different situation and then all of a sudden he’s got huge trade value again - because the league loves him. Also archetypally he’s a very strong fit with basically everybody in our group, including Ime. Would be curious how he looks if asked to be more of a #2 option on a lower expectations team again, instead of a #4 option on a championship or bust team. McBride is a guy I’m very sure the FO likes. The impact metrics love him. He’s in the FVV/Adams mold, in that way.
Hard to match salaries. We would have to add 10m or so and take back Mitchell and Josh Hart both pretty bad contracts. I guess if they took our bad DFS contract it might even things out. Probably need a 3rd team to make it work best.
I'd be very, very shocked to see KD traded. Tari is out of here along with Tate. My fear is that Jabari will be used in a package. He plays hard on each end of the court and he continues to improve. And, of course, I hope the idiotic front office keeps Josh
Jabari is tradeable for the right piece(s), but I hope he is not. He’s a dawg and is growing more confident and larger every year. At some point, he could be the stretch five that is in such demand.
KD to Miami for Wiggins and Ware. KD to Minnesota in a sign and trade for Ayo Dosunmu. FVV to Philly in a sign and trade for Grimes.
I’d fire stone for sure. I’d give ime another shot with a better roster for example adding more shooters, also I’m fine with keeping Segun he just got to get an outside shot and be more consistent
I like Heat and Warriors for the ability to get a 13 top pick.... lean towards the Heat since Herro fits more.
I don't think so, I think it's just the same situation as before, he has only a little bit of positive value at this stage due to his age and the trail of dead teams he's left behind him. He's still such a great scorer that I think plenty of teams would have some level of interest, especially any team that's getting desperate. Clippers or Bucks if they keep their stars, Nuggets, maybe Cleveland, Philadelphia, New York depending on how round 2 goes for them. An intriguing dark horse option could be Boston after their round 1 disappointment. My pipe dream that will probably never happen would be to somehow get Tatum for KD + players/picks. I think Tatum, if he can get back to his pre-injury level, immediately gives this team a real direction, while also fitting our timeline reasonably well. I think Boston's front office is too savvy to bite though. If they had a crappier front office you could maybe see it happening due to their payroll crunch and the somewhat awkward push/pull that's been going on between Tatum's and Brown's usage.
Warriors for Porzingis S&T (high salary for marching purposes, only 1 year guaranteed) and Podziemski FVV / Sheppard Podziemski / Okogie Thompson Smith / DFS Sengun / Porzingis / Adams Trade Clint, figure out Eason, sign a TP MLE shooter.
Top 10 pick in this year's draft. We'd be better for the future and a better basketball team. If we could somehow get rid of Durant / Sengun / Durant and land Cam Boozer we'd be set for the future.
