And give up significant assets to do so? If so what assets?

Only if we fire Stone, I don’t trust his judgement

no. No more drafting. No more rebuilding. That’s not their objective as they have said they’re in phase 3 win now mode. Drafting a player means more development and waiting around and hoping the player meshes with the team. It also isn’t a guarantee the player will perform. No more drafting especially if we have to give up rotational platers with NBA experience

Miami pick should be early teens or better if a KD trade was to happen

Yes, everyone outside of Amen and Smith should be up for trade to get into the top of the draft.

Yes, we need value from somewhere. We are not good enough to go all-in and need to find a rotation player on a rookie contract. If we lose someone like Tari, Reed or Jabari, it shouldn't move us too far back from where we are now, it's just the remorse if they take the next step somewhere else. I would like to see Reed stay if there is a new coach, same with Alperen. Those two are at their worst with Ime.

I'd be happy to get future picks as well, but what I don't want to see is them run it back. I've seen much worse Rockets teams but still enjoyed watching them because we were at least honest about who we were. This current team is lying to themselves about where they are. We are not one FVV away from being with OKC or SAS.

Hear me out ... I would trade Amen for a bevy of FRPs starting with the 2026 draft.

I think that it is a less than 50/50 proposition that Amen develops a 3 pt shot and I fear that Amen FA value will assume that Amen will.

If they can get a defensive big with some kind of 3 point shot, then yes.

If a good point guard prospect falls, then yes.

If they can get a combo guard with the size and length to play respectable defense and a decent 3 point shot, then yes.

    3&D wing....god no.
Big who can't shoot the 3....god no.
    Undersized point guard....god no.

I mean yeah I would do the same lol. This team basically needs to keep hoping and praying they get lucky for once in the draft and can find their guy.

All of these are available up to #8.

    Kingston Flemings
    Keaton Wagler
    Darius Acuff
    Mikel Brown

Mara is another in the 20s though I think he'll go higher.

Still having JG, DB and adding a top 5 pick to that group would have been nice.

I want stone fired but only mistake I feel like he made drafting was green for our draft positions

You can prefer castle all you want but we needed shooting and Reed was the best shooter. Imagine castle on this team he would have probably fallen out of the rotation year 1 to never return with the way teams pack the paint for us.

plus you might be looking at a tyreke evens vs Steph curry thing all over

smith was the right choice , amen was the right choice, sengun was the best choice for where he went

I am more upset at giving Brooklyn their 2025 and 2026 picks back

I'd love to come out of this draft with Darius Acuff & Henri Veesaar.

Mara was on my radar last draft .... but he never declared and transferred from UCLA to Michigan, saying he wasn't given enough opportunities - sometimes you just gotta earn those .... Not a 3 point threat at all, only 3 made 3's for the season including the tourney, shi tty FT shooter & too many low rebound performances for a 7'3" dude .... I'll pass. I think he's soft.

I did not say we have what it takes. I said thinking we can get a superstar from the draft is the wrong approach especially when the team has spent 5 seasons to rebuild and have publicly said they’re in win now mode. I also said drafting isn’t a guarantee and a gamble that the player would be a star. This would also mean waiting around 3 to 4 years for a player to develop. No more waiting.

They should but for some reason Stone thinks his draft picks will all be franchise changers
in few years. FVV will make this possible.

Trade for who? What team that is trying to rebuild is willing to trade a lottery pick for second or third tier players like Sengun? And if not Sengun then how would we accomplish a trade for a lottery pick? Also how does this pick make this team a contender or is this another waiting around in mediocrity for 2-4 years before a legit championship run that may or may not happen
