Looks like he has set his sights to FVV again next year solving everything

so what, playing mid 30 year old guys the most minutes in the league is the answer again?

is he going to run them to the ground again and make a pikachu face when players go down? For the love of god please move on from this catastrophic train wreck

I have to blame Stone first. He was willing to go to the playoffs with NO other option at PG

Yeah hopefully he’s just trying to keep his guys from being too nervous about big moves and uncertainty over the summer. However if he actually believes FVV and Adam’s only coming back ensures contention he’s delusional.

Even if FVV comes back fully healthy next season at some point someone or a few key players are likely to get injured next season. Every team goes through that every year. This team regardless is just not deep enough with talent, and none of our young prospects except maybe Jabari, can shoot the damn basketball which is problematic enough.

Hopefully the Fertittas don’t buy into that delusion and make some changes on their end to bring in some actual pros in the front office to oversee or replace Stone, and try and add some quality staff to Ime’s bench. Especially from the player development side, Ime’s staff is a complete failure.

Udoka's answers while subtle, showed frustration with Stone.

    Good!

But Ime isn’t blameless here. He was given the freedom to hire who he wanted and used that privilege to hire his boys who turns out don’t know how to develop players in the most essential basketball skill.

However I do think Stone is most at fault in the end. The lack of depth, shooting, and facilitating on this roster was something we all could see a mile away. I don’t necessarily blame Stone for the Westbrook trade which is the main culprit for the missing draft assets that should have led to more talent depth, but we also had misses that solely have him to blame. Cam, TyTy, Christopher, Garuba, etc etc. This team should have a ton more in depth. Especially at guard.

Stone didnt just magically get players like KD or DFS. The first, who Ime strongly pushed for and DFS who coincidentally is an Ime type of player

this dude has had a huge say in front office moves

Tilman needs to give Stone and Ime the axe.

That said, I doubt either one will be gone.

The most we can probably hope for is an offense assistant joining the staff.

Sad state of affairs, as we still have enough talent and assets to be contenders over the next decade if managed correctly.

Stone handed him a 6 year deal and basically conceded this season at the trade deadline with his actions and comments

Ime can give all the excuses in the world because he knows he’s safe and knows his boss is a b*tch

How many times has it looked like Ime is basically the coach and GM of this team? If Ime doesn’t want a player, they’re not coming here. Why? What has he done? You’d swear Ime is Pop or Phil Jackson the amount of influence he has on roster decisions. And he’s had that influence from day 1.

"It's nice to have players who can get a bucket at the end" he said right after Minny loss and pushed for Durant.

You give him a closer and still end up losing most of the clutch games. Get Ime out!

I like it Bari. Throwing shades to your coaches without throwing shades to your coaches

I've been critical of Stone for years now, I just don't understand how so many blind fans thinks he's a great GM. I often see the same comment giving him a pass for "drafting the consensus best player". If that's the case, then why do we even need him? Any scmuck can watch ESPN and draft the "best player available". We need a GM who is exceptional at his job, can think outside the box and find the diamonds where other GMs miss it.

It didn't take a genius to know we needed another PG even before FVV's injury. Instead Stone chose to get Capela and DFS (who he knew was going to be injured for half the season). We could've easily signed NAW, who just won MIP. We could've had Ayo Dosunmu at the deadline instead Stone just sat on his hands. He went for 2nd rounders and Rob Dillingham...

A coaching change and GM change isn't going to solve all our major problems. It's going to take a complete reset from top to bottom.

And for the love of God, stop building around players that can't shoot 3 pt shots. Everyone needs to go this off-season except maybe Amen, with these new lotto odds, it's even harder to rebuild now.

Keep Ime just redo his staff.
Add a offensive coach with prior head coaching & playoff experience.

Also get some former players in the front office we need ppl with real basketball insight not just numbers. Seems we have alot of analytical people & Tillman's son running to the team with no prior experience.

    I don’t think anybody gets a pass… there’s plenty of blame to go around….

imo Stone is the worst offender with his willingness to just kick the can…

Ime ain’t great… he really needs an X’s and O’s guy next to him…

Many of our players are kinda stupid… u can blame it on coaching… but at this level guys should know common sense stuff (like moving to the ball when someone gets doubled)

I don’t think Ime is going anywhere, so I hope we bolster the coaching ranks with someone who can run the offense….

IME is teflon-coated, nothing sticks to him, He doesn’t take responsibility for anything, He grins in victories, but in losses only the players are to blame
