I have no idea what could happen this offseason unlike previous years. I feel that anyone could be traded or fired this offseason. Vote for who you think is most likely to be traded or fired this offseason. You get 3 choices.
I just don’t believe in the vision for this team. I don’t think our players are good enough. I’m also really concerned about our poor player development. Also the roster construction has been poor. This is all front office. I continue to believe we should hold onto Amen, but honestly everyone else should be available in service of getting a franchise player. Need to hit a reset this offseason, but that needs to include changes in the front office.
Amen or Sengun need to be dealt for a high pick in this draft if possible. Ideally you keep Amen because he has an elite trait on the defensive side of the ball. We know you won't make it far with a Sabonis like player in today's game so trade Sengun.
I think Sengun goes, he probably has really good value and on a good contract and I think the org believes Amen has more potential than him. I think Tari too...
Trade Sengun and KD for picks this summer. Trade FVV, and Adams to contenders before the deadline for more picks include Tari if you have to. Make sure to absolutely include DFS in one of said trades. Hope to get lucky with an actual franchise player through future draft. Can’t see Ime getting fired with the large extension he signed last season and considering how cheap TF is. By all means bring in a top offensive assistant though.
Sounds like ime wants reed gone. He said explore a back up pg... Idk much better alp can get. He struggles against strong big centers. He can't shoot and he can't play defense.
I don't think the Rockets see Reed as a PG, they seem to see him as an off guard. Going to be interesting when FVV gets back if we see any lineups with both of them out there.
I’ll say it all summer 1.Trade FVV + PHX27’ for Dejounte Murray 2.Get Ty Jerome(6th man) for DFS somehow or S&T Tari. Top 10 EPM when he plays 3. If KD wants to go send him for Herro & MIA26’ 1st if possible 4. Maybe explore Sengun Guard rotation of Murray, Herro, Jerome, Reed, and Amen at the 3. Guard depth was our biggest issue this season I’d give that a year and if still don’t work I’d probably trade Sengun for picks. Let Herro walk or trade him. Trade Murray as an expiring. Draft Nets27’ & start to retool again
What I'd like to see and what think will happen are totally different things. What I think happens: Tari's gone, they don't want to pay him, someone else might. Other than that, they'll run it back with a healthy FVV, Durant & Adams. Maybe make a move or two along the fringes, nothing major. What I'd like to see - Sengun, KD, FVV, Adams, DFS & Tari all gone. KD to Minny in a S&T for Dosunmu. Tari S&T to Miami in exchange for Ware and filler if necessary. Sengun to New Orleans for Trey Murphy iii and #1 draft pick. FVV moved for the best young combo guard I can get. DFS & Adams for a handful of 2nd round picks (might have to happen at the deadline). Resign Okogie. Sign a young, healthy 4 that can shoot and defend in FA. Starters Dosunmu Amen Murphy Jabari Ware Bench Reed Combo guard? Okogie Capela FA 4 That puts 4 shooters around Amen ....
There is no offensive engine. There is nobody to consistently break down the defense in the playoffs. This is bound for a rebuild through the draft (yikes with the reform) or we're going to have to pray that we can stumble across a top 5 player in a trade again like we did with Harden (yikes on those odds). Like this is one of the most amazing case scenarios of building around Amen, and it's literally a replica of OKC ... without SGA.
He has to develop into a point guard he is way too small and limited to be an off guard. I just dont get why people or this organization think fvv is going to fix anything. He is coming back older and off an acl tear. I think we are just too optimistic.
