ClutchFans Game Thread: Lakers @ Rockets 5/1/2026 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 6)

I don’t they are remotely as talented as you think. I see some very nice role players that could be pieces on a team with a few stars…. I don’t think you move everyone to move them, but if I can get a lot of picks for Sengun or Sheppard or Smith, I likely do it…Rockets aren’t getting back that #10 pick they gave up for KD, but they should see what they can get to move him.

Keep adding young players.

 

Man some of these people are delusional sometimes. They are entitled to their opinion.
The Suns got swept in the first round and Jalen Green wasn't great and Dillon Brooks was the same Dillon Brooks. Made some shots with bone headed mistakes on defense.
Last year it took a heroic effort from Fred to push that series to 7.

 

To be fair we werent trying to post up Sengun all season but all of a sudden we needed him there. This is an Ime issue as Senugn has regressed in his post play since Ime got here. Sengun looked great after a summer without Ime but as the season went on....

 

Exactly. We already made a panic move trading KD lol.. making another would be hilariously desperate to do that again..

America is already struggling while trying to keep up the pace of a normal daily life. Expecting your hometown sports team to do the same and succeed is ****ing r****ded. It’s not day trading. The real world and professional sports, or anything for that matter, don’t operate that way.

 

Honestly though you're right, franchise is unlucky....
But....

You do make your own luck.

Stone got a bunch of old players we're depending on like Adams health last year was an outlier, he's usually hurt a lot. Great player but...you can't have him on your roster expecting to depend on him.

Then you trade away a Nets pick for...what reason?

FVV injury was unlucky, came out of nowhere too but we need to be creating our own luck. Stone, if he's going to be the GM moving forward, this is his prove it offseason, at least I would hope.

The bench scoring less than 5 points or whatever multiple games (lets not count garbage time) is 100% on no one else but the GM.

 

If you ignore all context your post would make sense.

 

Anyone can be traded

 

They were the #2 seed last year and they couldn’t beat the #7 seed Warriors…. I’m not assuming they would “destroy” the Lakers. They would have a lot of the same issues we saw tonight.

 

It’s been fun. (No it hasn’t but we got through it)

See you all in 2 months for uniform reveal(?) and how happy they are to run it back.

I ain’t tryin’ to watch the Spurs/Thunder win it all.

He needs to find another city. The best thing to happen to the Celtics was him cheating on Nia Long.

 

Last years team got where they were playing defense and rebounding. This years team relied on KD playing 200”+ minutes to do the same thing. The rockets were better without KD these past 3 games

Tonight was terrible and that’s a coaching/motivation (or rigged league) problem.

 

As long as Ime is fired it's worth it

 

Game 6 demonstrated they did not grow in the series despite learning all the ways not to play and at the same time being run off the court by a team was playing the right way. You see. You learn. They had every chance to evolve. They did not.

How did we even get to 6 games?

 

Aside from this game, the lakers never killed us. Fluke shooting games from Luke and Smart in games 1 and 2. Fred would have limited the TOs so I think he would have made a huge difference. Same with Adams and his rebounding.

It wasn't just not having fred, but not having someone else that could handle the ball without giving it to the Lakers every other play

 

Reed is basically a rookie. He was being relied on more than ideal.

I think most players should get a pass their first playoff action. The coaching needs to help them though to not be a liability.

 

A very disappointing end of the season unfortunately for Houston.

Trade KD and the 2027 Suns 1st round pick for the OKC Thunder 2026 lottery pick and fillers. Throw in the 39th second round 2026 pick too.

Fire Stone and Ime immediately. Get a GM with NBA experience or a capable head coach who can design a team on offense and defense.

Forget about Giannis/ Leonard or Murray.
