Was it really? The Rockets went 11 - 11 against not very good teams last season when FVV was out

And you believe that team would have won this series?

 

Right I just dont think they were as bad as this playoffs series. I think they felt like a defeated team before game 1.

 

Last years team wouldn’t have destroyed the Lakers. They couldn’t beat the 7 seed as the 2 seed last year.

 

My thing is this its been a great season on this forum. We all wish the Rockets would have won this series.
As far as the offseason goes. You trade Alpi for Giannis and throw in Reed for a shooter who can defend. Fred comes back, Adams comes back, let KD run his last year out with Giannis and Fred.
Kd comes off the books and Fred comes off the books at the same time. Giannis isnt happy let him walk too. So.e of our keepers if there are any like Amen is right before his prime. We have a little more leverage with no high salary like Sengun. Then we quietly rebuild on the fly.
Jabari is a bench player at best. Yeah he hit some big shots, but if he doesn't get his 6"11 a** on the block, get rid of him for draft capital.
This is the quickest way to be competitive and still rebuild.
Dont know anything about the salary cap, but this is my thinking.
We are truly in a state of our core being glorified role players.

 

Which player will ask for a trade first?

 

I don't really care about the injury excuse either way tbh, obviously it would be a different series if both teams were healthy its pointless to argue about if KD played or Adams or Doncic, just pointless to argue what ifs. I think the team is a lot more talented than people let on, people ignore the youth, but there's a reason they were like the youngest team ever to win a playoff game throughout all NBA history.

Panic move would be trading for Giannis or doubling down on trying to contend or having a firesale just to have one. I can't judge trades that haven't been made either but seeing people wanting to eject each and every young player we have for whatever we can get...don't think that's the right move.

the whole team played like total crap. Ime the great motivator, lol. I do wish people would stop using the +- stat. It really means pretty much nothing.

he can't seal off his man. the only way to get him the ball is at the perimeter.

not only that, sengun wants to dribble the ball to throw off his defender. he can barely finish around the rim and his post moves are overrated. he's great against smaller defenders.

sengun struggled to post up against Ayton and Hayes is worrisome

 

Its like you havent learned anything from this season. You wanna double down on a 38 year old after he couldnt play in the 1st round this year?
