Basically saying rockets failed to develop the players they drafted, unless you believe every single one of them is bad in some way to the point that you cannot develop them

As much as I like Sengun the person (he's competitive, plays hard, good leader). Ultimately, I think this style of big man (slow-footed, skilled European) is being phased out. Players like Jonas Valanciunas, Nurkic, Vucevic, Poeltl and Sabonis all had their time to shine, but are all pretty much relegated to bench players now. The last one standing was Jokic and he was pretty ineffective this playoff and his team got bounced in the1st round. I wouldn't mind keeping Sengun if we can't get decent value for him, but only as a bench player. Not a focal point of this team

Maybe surround him with actual shooters...

We aren't trading Alpi. That would be foolish ... trading for a 37 year old player and playing him 37 minutes per game also seems foolish ... so who knows.

Alpi was given the reigns as the number one option... Although he had some great moments this season, we can't have him playing like ass in the post season. He regressed big time since Adams got hurt.

I will never, ever, ever judge him on this dysfunctional team with no ball handlers and under this complete moron of a coach. Not until i see him on a team with a properly structured offense. I know what i've seen from him when Fred was on the court with him. Some hyenas here will try to make you forget that. You have to resist them. Trust your instincts.

That said, he has to improve his shooting. That's on him.

Hes terrible on defense, he's a poor shooter, he flops every time and the NBA is no longer a post game. So yeah he's a problem.

We are a playoff team with him so no, his defense isn't the reason we lose games. Everyone on this team is a poor shooter. Flopping doesn't cost you games in fact, you get rewarded for it in 26'. You said a lot of things, but didn't really say anything.

At this point, it’s best for both sides to just move on.

It’s clear the organization will choose Amen as the building block moving forward. I think he will do well on a team with spacing and with an offensive-minded coach. We have neither of those here and it’d be foolish to continue trying to make this pairing work.

Sengun is still a top 25 guy, young, and on a good contract. The value should still be strong.

Props if you're content with just making the playoffs. Like I said you're delusional if you don't think his non existent defense is a problem. You're right complaining and throwing your hands up in the air while sulk jogging back on D doesn't affect the teams ability to stop a fast break at all. This team has major problems and he's a part of that.

Dude, i don't know what really hinders you from reading the game of basketball, but i'll try to explain it as simply as possible. We lost the first two games because they left our shooters unguarded on the perimeter and camped in the paint to stop Sengun. That was their game plan. Our shooters stayed stagnant instead of cutting so Sengun had to spam post ups from the perimeter and fight his way to the basket finishing with whatever energy he had left. Not even Jokic could have a good game being forced to play like this.

We had a better game 3 mainly because of Jabari's outside shooting and Sengun's monster game, but we gave it away because of inexperience and a lack of ball handlers. We won game 5 because they doubled and tripled Sengun, and he found the open men who made their shots. It was uncharacteristic for us to hit our outside shots but i guess even if you leave a literal donkey open for a few seconds it can still get the ball in the basket.

We lost today because JJ realized he made a mistake by trapping Sengun and went back to what worked in the first two games. Unsurprisingly, our guys missed their outside shots because they need to be as free as a bird on the perimeter to make them.

So their entire game plan throughout the series revolved around Sengun. When they didn't trap him, it worked when they did it didn’t. There’s no mystery, no buts, no ifs it's obvious what happened and what didn't. We need consistent, ice-cold three pt shooters, like Rui and Kennard the kind who don't need to be wide open to make their shots, who can convert Sengun's corner passes, kick outs.

If you get those kinds of players along with Fred's return, Sengun could get to his spots much more easily and score more efficiently. Blaming him for the collapse is just bizarre. We do not have ball handlers or shooters and we have a coach who can't work with what he has, plus a GM who didn't get a backup pg. That's 90% of the reason we lost this series. Please try to see and focus on the bigger picture.

Alpi has enough skills to be a perennial All-Star, yet not enough skills for ClutchFans...

He was chosen by the league as a replacement. No one voted for him this year.

How about last year? Did he still have enough skills last year?
