Hey Reeko, love you man, thank you. I honestly been laughing for the last several posts. Thanks for brightening my day. I appreciate it.
Jokic has never won a playoff series against a team who won more than 50 games. Albeit the bubble year Kashi/PG13 team won 49 out of 72.
yikes no idea how people even put him in the same conversation as bigs like Shaq and Hakeem…it’s a joke to me
As a player, when healthy, I think he would be a nice fit. He basically already is what we only hope Reed Sheppard will become. (My hot take right now is Reed will almost certainly never be as good as Murray.) However, that contract would cause us serious cap problems just with retaining our own guys, let alone making further improvements, and Murray has also had a lot of injury issues over the years. The one thing that would maybe make me think about it is if they'd take back Adams' contract, assuming that we think he'll never be the same again as a player and is basically or nearly wasted cap space at this point (grade 3 ankle sprains are no joke). Taking a bad contract off our books to compensate for Murray being overpaid... hmm. Does Denver have any expiring/non-guaranteed contracts to match that?
Twice the defense? Dejounte is a terrible defender in his own right, saying he's twice as good is just pointing out how bad a defender Jamal Murray is. I'd rather do a S&T with Minnesota for Dosunmu straight up with a first year salary of just enough to make the money work. Dosunmu has been really good for the past couple years and had a historically efficient season by guard standards (51.7/43.9/87.6) playing for a craptastic Chicago team half the season - went to Minny and has upped his game another level and is actually a good defender.
I don't know how you're making these assessments, but D Murray is not a terrible defender unless you're only looking at this season, J Murray is a garbage defender and Dosunmu is somewhere between the two. You must be using defensive metrics or something? Anyway, game time. Will catch up on this later.
D Murray is a very classic case of good defender as a bit player, then once he got the ball a lot basically stopped playing defense.
Stupid or not, Denver is among the most proactive teams on the market, who else would fire their Championship Coach and GM at the same time? They revamped their bench last offseason and added like 2-4 players. It backfired a little, Murray and Joker do tire out pretty significantly, Aaron Gordon is never fully healthy. Cam Johnson never fully translated. Braun a huge gamble with that contract, prevent them to keep Watson straight up.
Firing their coach was stupid which I said it was at the time, But its what Joker and Murray wanted. This would be an entire different level of stupid. Murray for KD? I mean if they do it great! But I doubt it.
Very hard to say bc in this environment there is no way I see the Nuggets outdo the Spurs or Thunder...... It is almost impossible to do it with merely trades, ........Joker, Murray, Gordon are not enough to win a chip right now. Therefore I also do not see the Rockets winning anything as long as SGA and Wemby are healthy, hard facts I know.
Minnesota has the chance to move to the East and that is a way easier pathway to the Finals... Dun see the Nuggs moving to the East, they are far off that Conference in Rockies.
Does Joker even care about a chip? He gave Denver their only one and is making millions. He didnt exactly look broken up about it lol
Haha, touche, but GMs have to create this illusion for fans otherwise mass sports suicide in not watching..... Centers are the most hacked individuals on the court, I can only imagine not being motivated every night getting hacked like that.
Absolutely not..... He's just not very good despite playing next to Jokic. Durant is a better player at a better contract despite the age. Hopefully Cavs lose game 7.... Mitchell is better if we want to go that route.
