A matchup of LA Actors faking fouls vs Houston's Oil and Gas toughness and old school grit. Its painful to see Reaves flopping like he did the last game and getting the calls. Kudos to Ime for challenging and overturning the refs call in the final minutes, a pivotal moment that sent a message to the refs and put the final nail in the coffin to the LA Actors. On offense Reaves lowers his shoulders into the chest of defenders but when given the same treatment he flops. What an ACTOR. Unfortunately the refs favor him and give him the call. Frustrating to watch. Does anyone have any good Reaves flopping gifs? Sengun has been labelled a center point guard… his assists and no look passes are a treat to watch as the Lakers have been double teaming him at times. Would like to see Capela for a few minutes to give Sengun some rest if we get a lead to help block shots and defend in the lane vs Ayton. Hope Reed gets off to a hot start this game vs last game. Thompson needs to shoot better or play less minutes to improve his consistency and focus.
With Dillon gone, Alpi is our only real flopper, and he's not nearly as good an actor as the Lakers' triumvirate of Reaves/Smart/LeBron. Not a Reaves flopping video, but more entertaining...
I wonder what it is that allows the soft whistle? Like, you're an absolute joke, clown ass b**** of a person if you think the sanctity of WWNBA basketball is intact. Is it a package the team governors negotiate or buy from the league? Nike? Referee union? Is it some mark players hit on their own and then are afforded whistles out of earned respect? At any rate, you gotta know guarding Reaves - an absolutely talented basketball player - that you simply can't even touch him. Give him the arms up treatment and make it an eyesore for referee calls. By contrast - I don't find Sengun a floppy type. I think he's borderline dirty with the elbows he throws in the paint (which I like don't get me wrong) but the rub is how much he's complaining for whistles. To me, you get elbows don't try to draw attention to em. Idk. Styles make fights? There's definitely some hoity toity vibe to the LA Liners. We can lean into the rugged vibe more imo. I just want a win here.
As much as everyone has crapped on Harden playoff failing as Wanting Whistles Over Making Plays, that kind of flopping and whistles drawing can really muck up a game if the refs are aligned to it. I hope Reaves return to starting lineup doesn't do that.
