Just from an abstract perspective, it saddens me that the president can basically rape children, commit genocide, send his goons to murder americans, destroy families and lives for fun and be a self-agrandizing narciscist who is doing his best to turn into an actual dictator at dictator fantasy camp before he dies and the thing that finally actually crosses a line for the average american is paying an extra buck or two for a gallon of gas. Some part of me genuinely believes the human pestulance that is Donald Trump is exactly what the people of this country deserve. You reap what you sow.
I guess having to have your papers on you when you leave the house, abuela getting harassed, and landscapers/construction workers getting scooped up woke some of them up…
I'll never understand that either. Imagine gas prices being that boiling point, with all the other horrible things he's said and done. It's madness. He is about as out of touch with Americans as it gets. You really think he gives a damn if millions can't afford healthcare, rising insurance, rising electric bills, gas, groceries, and rent? Hell no. The dude flies back and forth between the White House to Mar a Lago and his other properties practically every week. Luxury plane rides, limos, fancy dinners, golfing, grifting, flying around to every major sporting event, and repeat. All this, as Americans suffer. He uses his properties to grift off the government, and make money off of anyone wanting some tit for tat favors. Then the creep thinks Americans really give a damn about his big beautiful (tasteless) ballroom and other vanity projects, or thinks Americans approve of his war in Iran? No, they don't. None of that crap makes their lives better. None of it!
Then don't run Kamala Harris. Any competent candidate would have won but choosing to run one of the most unlikable people even is on the Dems
Remember this typical repeated response by a red hatter a couple years ago? "Go fill your car up and buy some groceries smart guy." Then you had these other red hatters.... "Trump will go down as one of the best if not the best president this country has ever had.. What a time to be alive" "Republicans on the other hand, want to see prosperity for all citizens, regardless of their age, color, or creed. That's leadership. Enjoy this economic Golden Era!" The national debt is now larger than the economy’: Watchdog marks 100% of GDP milestone for $39 trillion burden https://fortune.com/2026/04/30/national-debt-larger-than-economy-gdp-ratio-100-percent/ US debt set to crush World War II record as annual deficits explode to $3T within decade Trump's call for $1.5 trillion defense budget would add trillions to debt. Borrowing trillion after trillion takes us in the wrong direction, leading to higher interest costs and higher prices for everyday needs," he said. "This election year, voters understand the connection between rising debt and their personal economic condition. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politic...cord-annual-deficits-explode-3t-within-decade
Completely agree. But it also makes me reflect on the class divide I'm apparently in. The price of gasoline doesn't phase me at all. Maybe I'm too financially blessed -- though I'm not rich or anything -- that I can be cavalier about gas prices. Maybe concern for raping and killing and kidnapping and corruption is one of those first-world problems that workaday Americans don't have the bandwidth to worry about.
The whole point of Fox News, Newsmax, the booming podcastery is to create a different reality for those folks. However, distorting reality when prices continue to rise becomes far trickier and less effective.
That's problem.... as I said above a lot of folks don't realize Kamala is a competent candidate in a race against Donald Trump because their media distorts their reality.
I've been on two separate Lyfts this past week where the empty gas light has been on during my ride. I've literally never seen that in the 6 years I've been taking rideshares at least in the US (happened once in Vietnam where they had to fill up while I'm in the car).
Because she isn't. You don't realize that. Kamala is terrible. That's not saying that Trump was a good candidate but nobody wanted Kamala. Her own people hate her
Kamala wasn't terrible. She does rub some people she knows the wrong way, but she wasn't some super unlikeable candidate.
Yes she was. Terrible public speaker, slept her way up, super unlikable in every way. That's how she lost to Trump. Nobody had any interest in her.
Sorry you dislike honesty. As I said before, Harris is trash. Nobody likes her. She couldn't even win the primary. You can dislike Trump without propping up that scarecrow
nobody likes her? i mean 75 million people did vote for her. slept her way up to the top? what exactly do you mean by this? from where to where? with whom? She is not some perfect candidate but your "honesty" seems like lies..
People voted against Trump not because they liked her. Again she couldn't even win the primary. She by all accounts was forced on Biden. She called him a racist. Have you not read about her history as a DA? I suggest you Google it. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Point out one thing I'm lying about. I'll tip jar bet you if you'd like
Not really. I don't know much about Monica Lewinsky's life but I haven't heard anything about her in forever nor heard it mentioned.
