On the bright side, Putin wants Trump to stop the war, so maybe we will. I guess it depends on who has more blackmail on him, Netaynhu or Putin, and who he wants to please more. We know Netaynhu doesn't want to stop, but Trump has been doing what Putin wants him to do for years. His love for Putin is unbreakable, unlike his love for anyone else in this country. He'd stab them in the back in a heartbeat, if they crossed him.

Why would putin want Trump to stop the war when they're making more money now than ever before? This war has been a major life line for the Russians. As long as the war goes on the Trump folks have removed sanctions on Russian oil which means their selling oil at market rate and not a discount. Don't fall for western propaganda. The Russians want the war to drag on for years

They might be benefitting now, but they don't want Iran obliterated. Sure, they probably love seeing it drag out, and Trump aiding them by taking away sanctions, but In the long game, they need that ally if Iran in the Middle East, and would love nothing more than see Trump, the US, and western allies suffer more than Iran.

Putin is a narcissist at the end of the day just like his buddy Trump. Yes he may want a strong iran to get influence in the middle east but at the end of the day he only care for Russia. Russia is making an extra 15 billion dollars a month from oil sales cuz of this war. This war has been the biggest blessing for Putin. The Russian economy was collapsing before the war.

Folks don't understand what's coming around the corner. It's about to get ugly like we've never seen

China is not going to be crippled, dumbass. Seriously impacted, yes.
China has been pushing the EV narrative at a very successful rate, unlike the stupid democrats in the United States who failed miserably until Musk did their work. Much of their oil requirements go to exports.

The Ds needed to go full authoritarian and make all citizens drive EVs? **** Adam Smith and his invisible hand?

I wonder why the Ds did not think of it? while the Rs apparently did

This is so funny bcz exports reached a record high under Biden and you literally would post tweets claiming Biden was a traitor for exporting our gas while Americans were suffering with high gas prices. Now Trump exports record amounts of gas and you worship him.

The only thing I can do is just laugh at how you cultists have no core values or ideas other than worship trump.

Well, it didn't happen yesterday. Is today the day? o_O

Trump said Sunday that Iran’s oil infrastructure is days away from exploding because crude is bottled up due to the blockade.

“Something happens where it just explodes,” Trump told Fox News. “They say they have only three days left before that happens. When it explodes, you can never rebuild it the way it was.”

At $140 a barrel (or some such) no less.

That and $4+ gas is a huge windfall for the US consumers oil companies.

So, you’re telling me this was 7D chess? I’ve got to give it to him. Always looking out for the oil giants.

Dealing with r****ds in here as per usual.

Iran sells something like 90% of its oil to China.

    That oil is shipped.

A US naval blockade preventing those sales is a new and devastating action on the Iranian economy and the government’s finances.

We saw mass protests that threatened the regime in January even when Iran was able to sell oil to China.

Now they can’t even do that.

Iran is facing total economic collapse due to the US blockade. Such dire economic conditions could lead to the government’s loss of ability to control the population and possibly an overthrow of the regime.

That is why Iran, which dumbasses like you, believe hold the trump card blocking the Strait, is desperately asking for a deal.

    Let me steelman their arguement.

Basically they are saying the Iranian government doesn't care about the welfare of their citizens, which I agree. Keep in mind the current Iranian government is much like the current Democrats Party - They will do anything to stay in power, such as an open border policy.

I disagree with their position. They are completely fine funding a war machine that has killed millions of people, many who have been forced conscription all while claiming its important to keep (western) democracy and even going as far as encouraging direct attacks on Russia.
But when it comes to Iran, its morally and ethically wrong to remove a brutal regime, who by the way, goes completely against liberal ideology.

But I digress and I will leave the conversation to the people in this thread who are life long experts on middle east politics.

@JuanValdez asked me for evidence Iran was seeking a deal.

    He seemed to doubt it.

I responded with those sources. He hasn’t responded to that, naturally.

Your response adds nothing to the conversation.
