The Lakers matchup is a bad matchup for Reed. Didn’t know this but Marcus Smart is only the 2nd guard in league history to win a DPOY. Both him and Kennard have been around for a while and know enough to abuse an inexperienced player.
You’re not going to target Smart on D, and Kennard was hot enough long enough to carry the offense. I wouldn’t want to start those guys for 82 games, but they filled in well. And in retrospect it would have made a lot more sense to sign Smart in FA over DFS, especially since Ime values D.
Reed did that with a fever as well. He sounded awful at the press conference and admitted that he played the game sick. I’m calling it Reed’s fever game
Yeah, we were allowing it by not putting pressure on his handle and giving him him way too much space. It is still such a terrible backcourt. We are just doing our job now like everyone else does against them.
I love that sequence of LeBron physically disrespecting Reed and awakening him. LeBron thinking he can intimidate him got instant karma. You can tell his parents told him don't ever be anyone's b|tch!
Reed plays like schit when his confidence isn’t there. But when it is he’s a completely different player . That’s the reason yanking and changing his role so much is a detriment to the team. It’s important that he realize we can live with mistakes and he won’t get benched for every little one playoff basketball is also a complete different animal and it looks like he’s getting more and more used to it
He's a 6 foot tall White guy that plays basketball for a living, if he shrunk at physicality and disrespect he wouldn't have made it to UK, let alone the NBA.
