I guess but I don’t mind the way we are playing. Gotta take these open threes we are getting and maybe even jack up a few more. The best offense remains the defense but that’s fine. Just continue to play disciplined and stick with the plan

Born and raised in Houston. Went off to UT in 1996 and made it my permanent home after college. Look at how long I’ve been on this site. Been a fan since 1990 at age 12 and will never stop rooting for all Houston sports teams.

 

I think the hardest thing about this series is that even with Reaves and Lebron... this Lakers team is not good, and could totally be swept in Rd2.

I was a Houstonian for the first 35 years of my life and even I didn't like Houston

I liked Houstonians, I just didn't like Houston, place for freeways, billboards, and parking lots

 

Don't like the rebounding. If they're going to crash the boards and the Rockets don't get offensive rebounds, fine, but we can't let them get offensive rebounds or not make them pay on the other end with transition baskets.

at this point, hunting mismatches is not on the coaching staff anymore. it's on the players

you need good ball handlers and run PnR to actually create mismatches

harden and CP sure knew how to do it in their sleep

when reaves is not the floor, rockets unable to create a mismatch for sengun to post up reaves just shows rockets players don't know how to do it

 

Exactly. Alpi isn’t trying to force things - he’s just letting the defense key in on him and acting as a decoy or (when he gets the ball) passing to the open man. If the Lakers’ defense starts playing up on the shooters. Alpi will have a lot more room to operate (as will Amen).

 

We will see! Maybe their defensive plan changes and the Rockets need to play other Offense
