I’m not into conspiracy theories. Not being on the bench in game 3 supporting his teammates is indefensible, but pretty sure he’s legitimately hurt.

I can't answer the question because I don't know. Him not being on the bench for game 3 was very strange. I've seen guys in casts or braces be on the bench to support their teammates before.

See that is why my spidey senses are up, and they are usually spot on in reading situations - him not being on the bench, him disconnected in game 4 - Ime not really saying much about it, team no knowing anyting or saying, can't wait for him to be back etc.........just feels like he is done.

You would be dumb to play him with an ankle injury and then he tears his achilles or have long term foot problems which will diminish his trade value

it is an incredible thing when the human on planet Earth that consistently gives themselves the most credit, more than our insane president, is exclusively on our American based basketball internet hub.

Maybe they'll trade him to the Wizards for a package to bring back Cam Whitmore...I know you're probably getting a hard on thinking about Cam coming back to the Rockets

Durant wants to play every game. He lives to ball. No way he is just sitting there if not injured.

Do you think that the reason he wasnt there during Game 3 was because he was receiving treatment?

    For 4 hours?

During the exact time the game was happening?

Both things can be true. The org seems to believe he is genuinely injured.
But the way they realease the info makes zero sense.

Maybe he has his own medical staff and nobody on the team knows until he lets them in.

We dont have all the info

He's hurt. I don't doubt that there is an injury, I do wonder about the timing. I'm more inclined to think he shut himself down rather than believing that the organization did it for him.

The warriors did it because him tearing his achilles was irrelevant to them, but he's still under contract so him playing injured now would be stupid.

KD played in that series despite the risk because it was the finals and he wanted to. Note that he didn't play in the WCF that year against the Trailblazers.

Haliburton did the same thing in last year's finals and he was under contract for four more years and Indy's franchise player. He's super relevant to them. Players will take major risks when they are that close to winning.

We saw him turn his ankle in his last game. The team had no reason to bench him in an 0-2 hole unless he was legitimately injured.

The warriors (smartly) lied to durant telling him that he couldn't hurt himself more by playing. If you remember their clown gm did this fake crying press conference thing to cover for their lying. Them having zero moral compass/zero remorse for anything is one of their greatest strengths. Game 7 of the finals is also very different from a meaningless game in the 1st round as well obviously.

This Quote was spoken by a character who was constantly denying reality lol She was literally finding ways to excuse away things she's seen. So I think its fitting here.

If he has a bone bruise it would have been painful for him to walk and sit and to hasten treatment they would have had lie down or something and take the weight off that ankle. I remember when Tari had that leg injury he also wasnt sitting on the bench nobody here said that was a bad look.

He was there G4 when Rox were about to get swept. If he really quit on the team he wouldnt be there then lol

This is why you dont trade young players for an injury prone 37 year old.
