Disagree. Clowney has matured and still has some premium gas in his tank. In game 17 last year he had 3 sacks, FF, FR and 6 TKLs. He's not the same JC we knew and I think he'd be a net positive addition to our DE rotation. Aaron Wilson's interview below shares some of his lessons learned. To have this long of a career, his work ethic has definitely improved.

Now my question is, why has he moved teams so often. Seems he's playing the mercenary role and that's ok if he's just trying to make the most money to take care of his family. But at the right price and with Coach Ryans blessing, I'd be ok with his return. BTW, I don't see Clowney and Tunsil at all as the same from a character perspective.

it's a good question. I was hoping you would tell me. : ) Maybe Nwaiwu to PS to start and based on injuries promote him. If Rutledge and Nwaiwu show as capable during camp/preseason of holding down C, maybe Andrews is the one pushed out (he's not good anyway). We have a lot of versatility in our OL now. As much as I *HATED* passing on Anthony Hill Jr., perhaps Klein allows us a legitimate Y TE That may allow us to drop one superfluos TE, given that we may now have a legitimate TE1/TE2 combo; and/or we might not need Brevin Knight (who will be on the IL Anyway) anymore.

But, I thought I was the smartest guy in the room knowing that Anthony Hill Jr was one of the best in the draft, akin to Kamari two years ago. DeMeco had the shot, the Red Sea split and at 59 AHJ was there... and then they chose Klein. That means, I was wrong.

You, me, and A LOT of other people thought Hill was headed here.

That being said, maybe Hansen gets moved? Or we get a "redshirt / IR" stash of one of the rookies... the Texans were good at doing that under Rick Smith

Hopefully, they give the offense a safe word at camp.

If the offense is just "marginally" competent, there should be a long playoff run, at least to the AFC championship game if not beyond.

And if 3/4 of rookie CJ is still in there, that’s going to the game. A game heavily influenced by defense. Ours may be the best ever (knocks on his wood).
