If that Durant guy is available, do we think he might be able to make some shots off the bench???

 

Said it before, the game can still be about Unit vs Unit. It's not just Starters vs Starters, it's Bench vs Bench.

Depth & reserves matter. The 2nd Unit matters. What good are your starters, if the 2 unit gives up everything the starters did? (Good bench players don't come easy. It's just a bummer when they cost you games)

 

So more DFS needed?

 

DFS playing ZERO minutes this season putting him on IR the entire year, and putting in any 2-way players, would have been better. The Rockets had a "Jeremy Tyler" earlier in season - HE would have been better. And I never saw Tyler play 1 single second

 

So what if you are playing against the worst team? These stats literally don't matter and the only relevance they have is if you compare it to other line ups amongst the same team. Comparing it in playoffs might be one of the most useless things you can do.

Regular season it would matter because everyone plays the same teams with a bit of dependency between East and West.

 

Small sample size. If it continues, the Rockets will likely rebound well from being down 3-0 and 3-1 even if still unlikely to win series. Having 3 guys that can switch in Amen, Eason, and JSJ probably is a better fit with Reed and Sengun lineups than Durant and 1 of those 3. That said, this lineup really depends on Reed, Eason, and JSJ's shooting and the ability of Amen, Eason, and JSJ to switch. Sengun helps prop up the offense. Not sure if the Rockets have anyone that can slot in as a replacement that can keep the lineup from breaking.

Durant for Amen, Eason, or JSJ, the defense dies.

While I think the Rockets are still a star short of OKC, SA, and Boston, I think FVV (healthy), DFS (pre-surgery), and Adams (healthy) would fix most things versus other teams.

 

I don’t need to say that, it is obvious to people who know basketball on a deep level.

Turns out when the Rockets play their best players with an actual PG, it's good. Who knew?

 

But because of the injuries, we don’t have a bench.

 

Rockets are just banged up, when they constructed this roster it looked championship to me. But all the vets are
beat up. So it just really doesnt matter.
