how is this different than what Udoka did when he said our players need to grow up? Sometimes it doesn’t sound nice but that’s what players need to hear.

What I don’t get is the hate and blame towards Udoka. If Udoka was a narcissist, racist, authoritarian, low iq coach then why hasn’t there been any rift with the team? Why hasn’t any players past or present said this? And why are Rockets fans and social media keyboard warriors the only people on the planet to stir the pot and say inflammatory things? Even after game 3 when 3 players Sheppard, Tate, Smith combined to lose the game for us, people still blamed Udoka. Really boggles my mind.

Terry Stotts, former Trailblazer coach and lead assistant under Kerr for the last 2 years. Offensively gifted.
Chris Quinn, Spoelstra's lead assistant. Apparently has a reputation for late game strategy.

    And then there's Ergin Ataman.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I’d go with Micah Nori from Minnesota.

Some other assistants who I like:

    Amile Jefferson (Celtics)
    TJ Saint (Knicks)
    Johnnie Bryant (Cavs)
    Sean Sweeney (Spurs)

Hire CP with a team of veteran coaches. Problem solved

Say what you want about him and he gets a lot of hate but he is one of the most gifted basketball minds of the last 2 decades. I do think he will work on his messaging and reaching people and ultimately be a great coach in this league

that's your next Kerr right there

I’m disappointed in you guys, taking this thread seriously. I was hoping to bring some humor to this miserable regurgitation of the same old b****in and moaning. C’mon gif gods save us from another miserable week of arguing the same tired topics. @Os Trigonum, @sirjesse, @don grahamleone, @Tfor3. How about some video @Buck Turgidson.

If we can get any of the recent past greats, I would get them.

Anyone with a ring, who played a real role, knows Xs and Os, but can be that mentor.

I would think someone like Rajon Rondo, DWade.

But of course it’s all a damn dream. Ain’t nobody trying to come to Houston.

I like the idea. But that bridge feels totally burnt by us.

    But I like the idea.

The most likely way that Udoka leaves - is him asking out of his contract or moved for a draft pick.

I had someone that coaches at the college level in the Midwest tell me recently while we watched the Rockets that….Udoka doesn’t like these guys. He was blunt and said he really doesn’t believe Udoka likes or believes in his players. Told me after coaching long enough, it is just easy to tell.

If Udoka is gone - it won’t be because of Stone. It will be Udoka leaving or TF deciding he wants a change.

    Udoka and Stone are attached.

I didn’t say it was right or wrong - only what he wanted to say.

What KD said on his burner is true as well… and r****di was right when he said KD should figure out how to cut down the turnovers…. Man is a top 20 player all time, top 10 offensive player of all time and is 15 years older than his teammates… he can figure it out.

I tend to support blunt honesty when said for the right purpose…. But some people can’t handle if.

I like that Udoka gives the praise to the players when they do well and the criticism when they screw up… he is just a coach, he isn’t bringing the ball up.
