As @dmoneybangbang has shown, Alpi’s paint touches are not like other player’s. He’s not getting set up by others like most (even elite) big men. Instead, he’s having to set up close to 75% of his own offense and often (at least this year) starting from the 3 pt line. Look at any other player in the league who does this (almost none of whom are centers) to this degree and I would imagine their field goal percentage also suffers. it is fair to say that he needs to really improve his defensive awareness and I’d like to see him challenge more shots vs just backpedaling. And of course adding a reliable jumper from 15 feet out would make everything easier for him.
Amen after the win interview - "Alpe gave us a motivational speech" Get rid of the cancer attitudes and buy-in ya'll. That goes for you Ime, not just dickerson.
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...peren-sengun-seech-lakers-game-4-22226817.php “I take it as this is my team, so I need to take care of everybody,” Şengün said. “I’m ready for anything and I know they’re ready for it, too. I will do anything for them, they will do anything for me. I will do anything: Talk, fight. I’m just glad they hear me.”
Good to hear! Now get us a coach who can maximize Sengun’s talents and make him work with Scola glad the speech paid off. Maybe it’s a sign also that before they may have looked at KD too much, that is was his team or Ime’s. Hope the guys know KD nor Ime are there for them, they have to rely on themselves.
