This supposed injury happened almost 5 days ago, why was he even doing underwater treadmills (that prevented him from being on the bench) if the timeline would have precluded him from playing in the first place? the rockets need some proper PR folks for their spin
I can't believe Ime and Stone are going to get away with it. From the second Fred got injured, neither of them did one single thing to make this team better this year. Before they had a questionable excuse, but now they have a perfect one.
I don't think they do, Luka and Reaves were out and we didn't really compete. And with Portland and Minnesota competing, it shows a lack of planning. DD
we will need to kind of look and see how the last couple rounds of the playoffs shake out. It will be one of those teams that want to acquire him to push them over the edge. And I would expect it to be a multi team trade.
Ime said this was the play he got hurt as well before Game 3. The narrative is that KD quit, the reality is he picked up 2 fluke injuries in a week. His reputation is doing him no favors on this one.
The Shams report says after further testing, and as I said on Friday's CF postgame, every indication from inside the building (at that time) was that it was a minor injury and they were surprised he didn't play in G3. In theory, that could mesh with the underwater treadmill story, though I certainly don't think it was a 5+ hour session (he arrived at TC at 5:00 p.m.). If you take the reporting at face value, what seems most plausible is they somehow missed the "bone bruise" part on the initial evaluation. Which doesn't seem great, in terms of the medical team, but I guess we'll see what they say tonight. (And yes, there are certainly other, more nefarious theories that you can come up with.)
Key sentences in the entire article... "In his debut with Houston, Durant missed just four regular-season games in 2025-26, none of them due to injuries. But he'll now miss his third game of the postseason." It's either extremely bad luck or dude is a quitter/sissy. Contrast this to the guard Texans just drafted, he played after almost having his foot amputated in a car wreck. I know different sports, but having played both it's about mental toughness and not letting your team down. I don't think we're KD's team anymore.
They'd be going for the sweep tonight if JG and DB were still here. Stone needs to be gone this summer. BS
I wonder if the Rockets could sneak into the 1st round of the 2026 draft (any position!) by trading Durant. Between this and the burner account its looking like its not going to work out
Jabari’s comments make so much more sense seriously **** this guy, I would have rather kept Dillon and Jalen…and of course the pick for this year
