https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/48602448/rockets-expected-durant-game-4 Now called a bone bruise. Something just smells fishy. DD
He's always been nothing but a mercenary, never had a loyal bone in his body to any organization. I don't doubt his injury but the timing and the optics just aren't great.
I think the injury is legit. I just wonder if he will be on the sideline tonight or still getting his 'treatment' in.
I expected him to miss at least 15 games this season but he ended up playing almost every game while being one of the league leader in minutes just to be unavailable when needed most
If anything still "smells fishy" it's probably bc the Rockets were trying to be cagey about the injury.
Thirty years of pain as a Rockets fan. I think it is a bit silly that people are questioning his injury. But pretty fittingly symbolic of the way the season has gone.
If he's not on the bench either he or Jabari are gone. Putting myself in Jabari's shoes I would not want to play with him.
If the rebuild had gone to plan, we wouldn't need KD. Better yet, he wouldn't be here to begin with. Our young core would be enough to get the job done. I say that to say this...FIRE STONE!
I appreciate Shams carrying water for KD with the phrasing in the tweets and article. Keeps KD's trade value up ahead of this summer.
If KD isn't on the bench, he has quit, no way would I keep KD over Jabari. 37 year old players who are FANTASTIC shooters but little else are not going to be making this team a winner. DD
he had a good season for us and it was fun to watch somebody who is so great at shooting. But everything after the burner leak has been painful to watch. I think he will maintain a positive trade value and that we may even have won the trade in that sense, but it would take a lot for me too welcome him back to the team next year. I could see it, but I think he would have to come out and make some amends in public. and for the best interest of the medium and long-term vision I would deal him this off-season. I still think we will get something good.
