That's one of my favorites. I made it a point to check out some filming locations when I went to Dublin.

I agree with both of these. I thought I had heard rumors on Alita that there were multiple sequels that were in the works? Like James Cameron said something about it in an interview. I'm sure that's a ways away from getting greenlit, but it gives me hope.

Cameron is ADAD AF, making a movie then buzzing off for a year or two being hyper-fixated on a hobby. He needs someone to encourage him to engage on projects. So I don't think the odds of this happening are super high.

it won’t happen, but I would love a prequel or even a sequel to No Country For Old Men.

Everything I've read about Starfighter follow up attempts, seems the original writer is a crazy, overprotective self inserting prick who can't get anything off the ground. I theorize if there was no NDA agreements, others might say he's "anal retentive" controlling who must be involved, and can't let go control from his "baby". Maybe he finally found the project and people who put up with his crap, or finally toned down lol. But original writer stubbornness on the rights is the reason for no sequels

Office Space. Probably no sequel needed but it'd be hilarious to see if Michael and Samir are still working.

It’s not “old” necessarily but it deserves some kind of follow up or re-make.

    Atomic Blonde.

The Commitments was based on a trilogy of books. All were made into movies with the same director and Colm Meany playing the dad. Character names were altered because of rights issues.

I've read all of Patrick O'Brian's novels about Aubrey and Maturin, at least twice. I was also optimistic that there would be one or more sequels. Sadly, the box office returns from Master and Commander weren't good enough. I think it broke even when all the accounting was done.

I would have preferred a film based solely on the novel Master and Commander, the first novel of the series and the one that introduced the main characters. That, and a much different actor playing Doctor Maturin, who was a small, rather dark fellow in the novels (and a vicious fighter, none the less). Paul Bettany is a terrific actor, but woefully miscast, in my opinion. I think Russell Crowe was perfect as the Captain. If the first novel had been followed, he would have been too old for the part. Perhaps something like that will be produced in the future.

Another film that should have a sequel? Casablanca.

How many movie sequels aren't at least slightly disapointing? Even if the movie is good, it's almost never as good as the original.

Pretty sure most of these sequels wouldn't actually live up to the standards you people imagine in your head and most would be extremely disapointing.

That having been said, I'm still waiting on that Buckaroo Bonzai Against The World Crime League film that I was promised in the credits of the first one.
