Solid 7th rd pick. Like the player. He was actually ranked higher (13) than Woodaz (18) by Brugler for what it's worth.
Shoutout to Shark44 for taking the time to introduce us to our new, later round, Texans' picks. Many thanks because you saved me the time of looking it up myself.
Dude is a player. Won’t wow you with his physical attributes but he’s always where he needs to be and makes plays time and time again. I’m an IU guy so I’m high on him but I’m also trying to be realistic. If he makes the team, I could see him being a standout on special teams. He’s a perfect fit culturally and will work his arse off. Will he see the field at LB? Guess we will see.
Is there a risk of having too many chiefs and not enough Indians? Or, even though they were all green dot team captains, they defer to one another? We are assembling quite the trophy room of team captains.
i think it's more of a polar opposite approach to roster construction versus the rockets. texans looking for intelligent players while the rox scour the earth looking for the dumbest humans they can find.
No, good leaders know how to follow and support good leaders. If one of them needs correcting, the vets will square them away. I love what we're doing with the team we're putting together.
Anecdotal experience, I think as long as they can be engaged in something constructive, and are dealt with genuine and honest, the hierarchy will align itself. Like they might not get playing time, but they might lead the prayer, weight room group, special teams, scout team, etc. So it maybe depends on if there is "enough to do", enough roles for everyone to be self important lol It can be bad toxic character regardless of role & title. Like Kevin Durant is a lead figure. But he is not "quality leader". So it can be more about avoiding bad character traits, than in avoiding headstrong good leader I tend to think that alpha respects other alpha. In some "iron sharpen iron" way. A physically mentally demanding game like football, there is always some space for headstrong leading. Sometimes the captain needs a kick in the azz too by the lieutenant, just to keep sh*t in line lol. But it starts up top, Demeco & crew have to be unquestioned top dawg
I had no clue who this guy was and its a 7th rounder but dam from the info I see he looks solid.......finally getting the "culture" guys they have been talking about for 5 years, solid draft class Nick.................Chef`s kiss
