Lol… just stopped by to see if we lost again. Now I kinda hope this org loses out through the end of April, DOES NOT TRADE YORDAN (whoever *that guy who claims to be an Astros fan* really is… Manfred? Boone? Roberts?), demotes DaNaeNah to strictly a scouting advisory role, hires a new GM (FU Jim get the GD band back together you priss), demotes Espada to bench coach, allow people to breathe / ‘mire that stellar downtown by keeping the roof open… (yeah the franchise is as broken as we’ve seen it in the last 10+ years— should be doing ANYTHING to fix it, , hire some forward-thinking analytical people who can turn 3 employees’ jobs into 1… pay for pitching / court JV as a pitching coach, elevate coaches/managers from your farm, go ahead and then fire Espada, fire Brown, fire your marketing team (whoTF: ChaseTheFight…?? r****dedAF.), try to get rid of the scrubs at whatever cost… you’re gonna get fleeced & you did it to yourself. Tear up the contract with Methodist or Memorial Hermann (whoeverTF are contracted via the org).… hire someone with some intelligence and hair on their nuts to be able to do all this. Still confused? Go talk to Hannah, she’ll straighten this asshat org out.
The Astros Dynasty really crashed hard. The wheels have come off. Anyone see any recovery from this disaster?
There is no recovery this season. They are in too deep of a hole with too few resources to apply to turning it around. But a well executed draft, trade deadline, and offseason could have them roughly in similar position to what they were in entering 2015. There’s no definite need to undergo the kind of complete tear down they did from 2011-2014.
I still think its too early to believe this. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure either Crane or Dana will be the hardest and last guys to accept this. But I do acknowledge that they are in a coma and on life support, trying to determine if there is still a chance of recovery and if not whether to just let the season play out with dim hopes, or to pull the plug.
Split squad game? Harris, Johnson and Shewmake all in the lineup is...something (like a PI lawfirm that advertises on weekday afternoon TV) Now watch this be the one game we win.
This is why and what I posted yesterday that I’d bet Dana survives at least through this season but Espada is let go. Put Lopez is and let the rest play out. If Dana does well on two of those three then great maybe he gets another three years but if not at least you execute the plans of the draft and possibly the deadline as is. Your only worry is him reaching to save his job. I just think the upheaval of GM is a mountain they don’t want to climb if not necessary. Boston is a different situation.
Aside from giving 800 year old slumping Altuve a day off, we aren't sitting any other good players. You guys are acting like he has Mantle and Dimaggio on the bench. What exactly is this ideal lineup Espada isn't playing The team just sucks.
Yup. When 5 of your 6 preseason outfielders are all injured, your outfield is not going to look good most days, especially when the outfield was already the weak point of the team to start with.
