Is it a Christmas film like “Die Hard”?

    This was a fun movie.

As someone said earlier: "a 90's action movie with better sfx"

This looks really good, but dam Covid killed going to the theatre for me, I don't normally go to the theatre anymore unless its a block buster like Oppenheimer or One battle after another or something fun like Barbie and the whole experience I had with my Neice`s. I`m too lazy now and will just wait for it to stream...........I do want to go see the new Russel Crowe movie Nuremburg, those movies hit better on the large screen

This is how not to make a movie. I didn’t buy into any of it. 2/10

Having read the book, it's definitely more faithful to the story than the Schwarzenegger version, and for 2/3 of it I was into it. Then the movie lost a whole lot of steam real fast and shoehorned a Wayne's World "Mega Happy Ending" into it.

Edgar Wright losing steam after the Cornetto Trilogy. Movie was way too safe and super forgettable. Ending was likely studio exec edit though.

Trying to remake 80's big budget Ahnold movies is an exercise in futility.

It's impossible to recreate that particular campy, silly but serious 80's vibe, and without it the movies feel empty. I put this in the same category with that terrible Total Recall remake. It just feels empty next to the original.

Remaking this in a way that will stand up against the original was an impossible task. There's not enough cocaine left in the world to concieve of creating a film with that ultravivd 80's big studio spectacle release vibe.

It was mid but mostly due to casting and character design imo. The lead actor was about as generic as you can get and the ‘hunters’ were all super generic as well. It all fell flat because nobody was really likable OR hatable.

It was a perfectly fine, mostly fun, dumb action movie.
