Yea and Joe seemed determined to let him go. I wonder if Lopez elbowed Joe awake and told him to go get Souza?
Absolutely. You don't get to where he is without making those decisions and both are on final years. Having said that I would think Brown at least finishes the year. The draft is in July, which is supposed to be Browns strong point and they've already started working on it. Firing Brown would create more chaos than it's worth. Then the trade deadline is right after that. Possibly the more likely scenario: Crane has Dana fire his hire, (or Dana is already there) and put Lopez in the rest of the season as IM for a trial run. Unless they have a miracle turn around (not happening) and win a chip, Joe won't be the future here, it can't be a secret by now. Josh Miller: First year in I would think he survives this year.
Gotta believe that tomorrow is Espada’s last stand. A lot of changes need to be made and you might as well start now with the manager and pitching coach. Dana’s days are numbered too, but he probably gets canned after the draft.
