Keep Sengun, Amen and Reed and let them continue to grow together while we find a go to scorer. I still believe Sengun can make a good Batman eventually but coaching changes on offense will be needed.
Amen was invisible in the fourth, because Ime decided to take the ball out of his hands. He should have been the primary initiator all year and would have been ready for the playoffs after averaging over 20 pts and 8-9 assists. Ime abandoned his Amen as the point guard after a shaky start. It is what he always does, abandon any plans at the slightest set-back, other than the disastrous 2 bigs zone defense, which took him forever to give up on. Reed is not a pg no matter how much his fans wanting him to be the next Stockton or Nash when he is really the next Kennard or JJ Reddick. Jabari was pretty awesome most of the game before that dumbass play. Sengun played a great game offensively. We still probably win if Tate or Reed weren’t in the game in the 4th. We have plenty of talent and lots of resources to get more, but it won’t matter as long as we have this idiot coach.
I started out loving Momster but now I can’t wait for her to go. Tari broke my heart with his attitude and play this season
Everyone here is delusional, unless you have a franchise player like Wemby or Flagg, your team is gonna suck. The core is good enough to what? Get us out of the first round? The goal is a championship and the current players are not good enough. Dump them all for picks and try again until we hit it big in the lottery.
I would be curious to see what a Reed-Amen-Jabari-Sengun group can do with some good pieces around them, and offensive sets that are tailored to their strengths. That would likely mean Ime has to go. The front office loves Ime (loved?), though. He’s good as a culture setter, particularly after the mess we had under Silas, but from what we saw in Boston as well, maybe he’s our Mark Jackson. Hopefully you can unload KD for a decent starter and a 1st rounder, and see how things look under a better coach. Our young core wasn’t close enough to just add KD and compete for a title. I think some of it is a bad chemistry fit with KD, whether due to behind the scenes stuff, burner stuff, or just his attitude. Great scorer, but not a great teammate. No sense in bringing this team back as is, I think we can clearly see even with FVV and Adams, this team is still unlikely to compete in a 7 game series with Denver, SA, or OKC at this point
I’ve changed my tune on this. Keep Sengun and Amen. Both are talented enough to be #2 and #3 on a contending team. I’m trading everyone and everything else to find that #1 guy. Mitchell, Edwards, and Booker are the obvious perfect fits, but I also wouldn’t disregard the possibility of trading into the top 10 of this draft.
I hope Tillman isn’t being shown cherry-picked statics by Stone. And if he is, I hope Tillman is smart enough to go get an outside objective opinion on this team, this coach, and the state of the front office.
I agree about their respective talent levels, but not sure on the fit. If Sengun can consistently take and hit threes under a less idiotic coach who will encourage him to do it, maybe?
I think Sheppard has some combo PG guard potential still. Career high assist games: Steph Curry: 16 Sheppard: 14 Kennard: 11 Redick: 10 Stockton & Nash entered the NBA at an older age than Reed currently is. And weren't even starters their first 3 years. So longer term development can happen I've never been that high on Reed's upside as anything more than a rich man's Brent Price, not even Mark Price. But a healthy Brent Price could win some games. But do you wait 4 years for a Brent Price? Maybe not
This is such typical Fraudeaux ****. Don't believe your lying eyes - believe cherry picked unadjusted plus minus
It's funny because I've given Jabari a lot of crap but he's finally becoming a high end role player and playing like it - - and then he probably commits the single biggest unforced error in the history of the franchise, I am struggling to come up with a higher leverage screw up; racking my brains back through the Hakeem era and I can't think of anything ( at least in the playoffs.) Ralph Sampson punched Jerry Sichting in the finals but the Rockets won that game. In fact they kicked Boston's ass the rest of the way Maybe Hakeem getting rattled against the Jazz after punching Billy Paultz his rookie year, but he was instigated into that; that's it though.
Honestly, Capela might need to go unfortunately. We need more production with his cap space. We basically haven’t used him at all in the playoffs. We might need to draft a second rounder or trade for a scrub center. DFS needs to get out too!
If your eyes are dumb enough to tell you something different than what the numbers say happened, you definitely shouldn't trust them.
I know a guy, a top 5 all time scorer who is still putting up 50-40-90ish seasons who is basically automatic from midrange - he will push this big 3 over the top.
