False narrative he maybe limited defensively but I still think he plays better defense that all our other defensive guys out there cuz he just uses his brain. He had multiple game saving and changing defensive plays yesterday. While our expert defenders like Tari and Tate just foul shooters and fall asleep.

every time he goes to bench our defense is no better and we can’t score….sure he gets hunted but all centers no matter who get hunted.

The great Jokic has a lower fg% in these playoffs than Alpi. Gobert is doing an excellent job defending him but playing without a healthy Gordon is also really limiting his performance. He really makes some boneheaded plays because they can't apply their usual systems.

Duren, who was super efficient in the regular season and who every single Alpi hater would gladly take over Alpi is averaging a whopping 9 ppg at 41 percent.

It's almost like basketball is a team sport and systems and strategies heavily affect individual performances. And it's the coaches jobs to find out how they can effectively use their players and to develop counter strategies. They have 82 games to prepare.

Alpi is averaging 24/11/5.7 assists along with 1.3. bpg and 2.7. spg which honestly is fantastic, even if he is not very efficient.

Now you can say that stats don't tell the whole story yada yada but claiming that Alpi is the main reason for this embarrassing playoffs also doesn't tell the whole story.

I know Joker had some great stats during the regular season but he seemed to slow down since he hyperextended his knee in December/January and was not quite the same.

While some of the blame can go on Stone for poor roster construction and for standing pat at the trade deadline (along with injuries), Ime also deserves a lot of the blame for running an 8-man rotation throughout the regular season with the starters playing some of the heaviest minutes of all starting lineups in the league. Compare Ime to someone like Spoelstra - seems like Spo can make an NBA rotation player out of thin air from any random G-League player.

However bad front office coaching staff his teammates are, Alpi shoildnt be shooting this bad

Its not like ayton has sudendly become dpoy

Its just over confidence, laziness, lack of focus.

He can put up shots he simply has to make them

Alpi was the Spartacus they needed. Now comes the reckoning starting with the Lakers, then Ime and KD.

Rockets really need to get rid of Ime, KD, and Stone. Would love to see how this young group grows together.

I don't know what Alpi said in his motivational speech, but that is impressive enough that he gave one, given that English is not even his native language (he couldn't even speak English when he was drafted), which speaks to his leadership and heart.

He is playing some of the best Defense from all the center and PFs in the post season. The back to back pick and roll plays where Ayton got him in game 2 were the only lapses.
