If OP won't say it I will. Trade Kevin Durant. Take the bad money, probably means a developmental year and a step back. This team is cooked until he's gone so may as well get it over with.
KD has to go, he stinks as a member of this team, move him to the Clippers and they can try with him and Kawhii... DD
It sucks seeing things before most everyone else, people criticize for a long time till they figure out.....well I guess that was right all along. DD
Does any team still foolishly believe they’re a 38-year old Durant away? Or what team wants to be part of his vanity/retirement tour? (“ohemgee Kev moved up another list tonight!”) Already vetoed the Golden State thing. Don’t think he wants to go back? Vetoed Minnesota (because of the weather? lol…another (MN guy) said because he didn’t want to play for Finch) It was San Antonio, Miami, Houston. (Not sure the Spurs interest was reciprocal) Didn’t he say something about the Hornets on his burner?
It doesn't seem like this team likes each other. I'd trade Durant before I'd get rid of any of the young core. Stone took a big swing and missed. If he can undo some of that damage he definitely should.
The KD era ended on February 15, 2026. The day the KD files broke. Since then, the players, the org, and KD himself have been playing out the string until he's traded at the next opportunity. If you've had the object permanence to remember that, even though it has been swept from the public eye, everything that has transpired since makes total sense. And I would guess that whoever pushed ownership the most for the KD trade to begin with, which to my understanding was Ime, will pay the price.
II think about the teams that wanted him before, think it was Minny? Minny might get desperate and Ant and KD seem really cool, could be a place for him. The Wizards someone mentioned, that would make sense. Could look at other playoff teams that get desperate, especially in the East. You're looking at teams that think adding KD will take them to the finals so the best you can expect back at this point is matching salary and a pick if you are lucky. I think Minny is the one, they wanted him before, but it might take a third team to make that happen they don't really have the contracts to make it happen as I'm sure the goal would be to add KD without giving up Randle. Minny might be desperate enough too since their team is kind of locked how it is, not much cap space, no tradeable assets outside of vets, their only big moves will be to trade vets for vets like KD...but really depends on if Edwards is putting pressure on them to improve. They are due for another 2nd round exit though and if they lose to the Spurs (if they get past Denver) it will pretty much say their core isn't good enough.
You don’t know the severity of the sprain and every person’s body is different. The goal is to get him playing as soon as possible and I would imagine him getting as much treatment as possible. The issue here is you judging and policing another person’s condition and body with little information. Many fans here tend to judge and criticize without substantiating facts. How many times have you called into work sick because you don’t feel like you’re your best at work or not comfortable sitting at a desk for 8 plus hours because your body tells you that you shouldn’t? There’s no mandatory requirement he be there and the player has to do what’s best for his health. He doesn’t have to please fans and create positive optics by sitting on a bench for 3 hours. You don’t get to police someone else’s body and judge them when you surely don’t want this done to you
Exactly….Stone gave up a lottery pick, 5 seconds, Green, and Brooks for a 37 year old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right after giving away the likely top pick in this year’s draft (Nets unprotected). HOW DOES HE STILL HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!!!
Fine isn't the goal though, the goal is championship. The contracts they have, their team is locked up, if it can't beat OKC and/or Spurs, they just go on the next 3 years doing the same thing? Because that's how long their core is locked up for. They were the other team trying to trade for him but he picked us. Unless they shock the world, they aren't getting past the Spurs and definitely not OKC, at that point something will have to change for them, they might look back at trying to get KD.
on the other hand it might have been nice for Dickerson to pop his head out and visit the team with half a minute remaining in the game with the Rockets up 6 . . . you know, to enjoy the win and celebration
Two people who deserve credit on this site: LosPallomanos for being the first to criticize Udoka and myself for being the first to criticize Stone (aka the Lawyer). I got banned for my criticism of Stone and hope that LosPallmanos doesn’t get banned for the Udoka criticism.
