I’m not saying we should trade him, but not being on the bench was a bad look.
I still believe we should keep him — but would you guys be completely against moving him if it meant getting a pick in this year’s draft?

Especially if a team like GSW is willing to give one up for KD… not saying they will, but if the Giannis situation falls through, they might pivot.

Curious where everyone stands on this.

I’m not saying we should trade him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a team offers a salary dump with a pick attached.
I could honestly see the Golden State Warriors doing something like Jimmy Butler plus their pick for him. They’re in win-now mode with Stephen Curry, so I don’t see them holding onto that pick if it helps them compete right away.
Again, not saying we should move him—just curious what you all think about that kind of scenario.

I think you take back bad money to get picks/young talent. We were talking about this in another thread. So like, PHI, GSW, NYK, NOP, SAC, TOR, maybe ORL? There are potential options out there--tricky part is you have to find somebody Quitterson will play for without throwing sh*t fit.

You don’t know what treatments he was getting and you want to elevate an ankle sprain
Not aggravating it walking around and being on a bench for 3 hours

KD should go back home to D.C. for a homecoming with no expectations, They’ll make the playoffs with Trae, Sarr, and there top draft pick, He’ll bring some excitement to his hometown on his way out, The problem would be getting AD in return, we can probably dump him to the Nets

He sprained it on Tuesday. The game was on Friday.

There is no sprained ankle treatment regimen that precludes a player from sitting on a bench to watch a game three days later.

You don't need to elevate a sprained ankle three days later. He's not in traction lol.

To the Miami heat for James Jaquez, Kasparas + 13th pick. That would be a haul at this point.

With KD it all starts with the Fertittas and Stone after you meet with him to decide his future, sitting down with KD and his agent to air everything out from this season, and coming to a conclusion on what the plan is for next season.

If KD and his agent say that he’d like to go elsewhere, since they just signed an agreement on a huge contract next season and the season after, to make it happen they MUST be the ones to pull strings through KD’s relationships and his agents relationships to get it done.

NOBODY is trading for KD without the right relationships being in place to take that risk with his background, age, and contract.

In terms of package back if I’m Stone and Fertitta there is no conversation to be had without the following checklist being solved:

-First round pick in THIS draft (team needs young talent asap). Will settle for later in 1st.
-Multiple veteran role players coming back
    -On short term contracts
    -Must be able to shoot

    ….

If you can get that deal done then I think a reboot is also in store where you gotta start moving some other players like Adams, Capela, DFS, etc. ideally being able to net some 2nd round picks, and hopefully getting another player in this draft.

If no deal is there you run it back and retool with some of the vets getting moved out and young players coming in to start building more competitive young depth to push guys like Reed, etc. You gotta keep cycling in young prospects who can light a fire under our other younger players. Gotta do that.

If kd really wants out I wouldn't be against this.
The heat was one of his destination.

Now if there is no deal and KD makes it clear he doesn’t want to be here you give him the T-Mac treatment and let him go vacation all season and say tough luck. I’d rather keep his salary to facilitate a trade down the line than take back worse salary and give up picks to get him off the team. Go pout in Cancun all next season for all I care.

I'm still hoping that the Knicks are interested in KD. We could do a trade for Karl Anthony Towns, but I think a 3rd team would need to get involved to help the deal go through. I think the following lineup would be promising:
    • PG: FVV
    • SG: Amen
    • SF: Jabari
    • PF: Towns
    • C: Sengun
