He ruined the locker room with the leaked DMs. They don't want to play with him. They aren't chest-bumping him after big plays, they don't talk to him as much as the did during the games. Jabari takes a shot at him during interviews, and he doesn't attend the game when he’s injured. His childishness has damaged the team's chemistry and essentially ended our hopes of a deep playoff run. I assume they don't hang out with him and miss Brooks and Jalen. It won't be much different next season if Sengun and Jabari stay. Maybe Fred can work as a glue guy, a bridge between them but j think we shouldn't have gotten him. He is a great player but a piece of **** really.

He's gone. I just wonder what the market is going to be like.

I don’t mind the gamble, but the extension was a mistake and at this point cut your losses. This guy literally quit on us and yeah I am not buying the injuries nor that the burner account hasn’t messed with chemistry and our locker room.

This. We are back in the 2010-2012 era Rockets. Only thing time the league is expanding so even less of a chance to obtain a superstar unlike 2012.

Yes it was. I've always liked KD from his time at Texas, but lost respect when he joined the Warriors.

As much as I was mad at how bad Jalen Green played during the playoffs last year, I have to admit that we would beat these Lakers if we had him and Brooks

    This thread is just lol.

Although admittedly near the end of his career, the Roockets traded for a Top 15 player of all time, former MVP. A guy who will make an all-NBA team this season. He's the best player on the team.

Just because the team overachieved last year (and lost in the playoffs against a cupcake team anyway) and this season saying we were the 2nd best team in the West after having the 2nd best record after like 3 weeks, doesn't mean the whole thing wasn't a farce. We were never at that level, not last season nor this one.

The person I blame the most is Ime for trying to steer the ship and control the roster construction of the team. He twice declined OG Harden who would've been an absolute 10/10 fit with this current roster. He thinks his like prime Coach Pop or Steve Kerr, when in reality he's an overrated coach trying to call the shots and stepping out of his lane.

In this sh*t show of a season, i cant believe that folks wanna blame the one guy that consistently delivered throughout the season... smdh

yes, the Dickerson tweets were problematic - but the truth hurts... If this team had open dialogues and any sense of conflict resolution, then they prob wouldnt have happened..

    My thoughts.

Didn't like the trade because they did it a year too soon, but can understand why they tried. In a perfect world with everyone healthy they would have been much better, but that was going to be an extreme longshot from the start. It was risky and it didn't pay off.

Durant was exactly as advertised. Great scorer, stayed healthier than I thought he could, but he was a team cancer and didn't show up when it mattered. Last years team was young but it had heart. This team has NO heart, and I blame most of that on Durant destroying their chemistry. I personally want him gone. If Stone can't pull that off I want him gone too.

You simply can't run this back without making some significant changes, and the answer can't be bringing in more old stars. That's a lazy quick fix, and look where it got them the last time with Durant. They should trade Durant and get back to rebuilding with the younger guys again. Admit that Durant was a mistake worth trying, swallow your pride, and continue building. If they trade more of their youth for someone like Giannis, they are going to be in the lottery again sooner rather than later. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that's the route they're going to take though.

Yeah up until the playoffs I assumed they’d run it back one more year because there wasn’t a great return at his age and there wasn’t a huge need to reset and make major changes.

This embarrassment of a playoff season and the obvious locker room/culture issues now has to be seriously dealt with an KD and the Rockets both will almost surely benefit from a divorce.

I’m assuming the value is pretty much nil tbh. Stone and the Fertittas more importantly need to shoulder the responsibility on KD and his agent to assist them in brokering a deal that works because in the end with that salary nobody will want to trade for him without him making it clear that he wants to be where he’s going and the relationships with other players and the coaches are expected to be all in.
