This is the most embarrassing series loss in franchise history

I’m going with the 40-point game 7 loss to our cross-state rivals in 2005. They don’t get more embarrassing than that one.

 

If I'm the Lakers I am resting Lebron for game 4. Play the g-leaguers and maybe you get a win anyways. Come back home game 5 and let Reaves get some rust out and cruise to an easy win while getting a couple more days rest for Luka.

 

I gave up on this team a month ago when we choked that game in Minnesota. I was certain we would get pathetically swept or 4-1d in the 1st round.

And then we were gifted this weak Lakers team….. “Oh cool, at least we get to beat the Lakers.”

This was the least excited I’ve ever been going into a rockets playoffs and with the lowest possible expectations and somehow this team lowered the bar

 

Basketball god gifted them the Lakers B team and they still managed to choke like this.

 

I saw the betting line and jumped at the lakers. I’m not surprised. Lebron is one of the smartest players athletes ever. Were one of the lowest iq teams I the league and we have a flaws that always seem to get exposed more than other team flaws


I knew ime would get outcoached.

 

I just looked up that Knicks game. They didn’t have the ball, up 6.

So, that means we’re the only team in 29yr to lose, up 6, with the ball.

no serious adult is going to stand for being roasted online for everybody to see and then be fine with it.

Team handling of the dickerson gate was the worst scenario. Straight out of a high school playbook.

 

Only thing that would make me feel better is a story leak about KD getting his ass kicked by one of the youngsters for being a little d:tch. I may even respect coach if he did it. A bruised face would be better than a series win. I think we would grow from it.

 

Not enough defense, clearly. If we had a 75 defensive rating than the Udoka strat would have worked!

 

Don’t know why everybody mad at kd. He doesn’t run anything. Hes not the real we failed. It’s our coaching and gm’s fault. GSW and even Brooklyn, when healthy, gave the blueprint to be successful with kd. Give him minimum responsibility and let him be great at the one thing he’s great at.


For whatever reason he or we or whoever wanted to use him like he’s LeBron or harden. That’s not his strength

 

I completely agree with the original premise.

However, this series ain't over yet. I don't care about "it hasn't happened before, therefore it can never happen". Trends are your friend, until they aren't.

If there's one possible time for a team to comeback from this, it's this Rockets team vs the beat up Lakers.

We've been favoured in every game. Assuming KD comes back ASAP, we will continue to be favoured as long as Luka isn't playing.

I haven't given up yet. This **** ain't over and if the Rockets can pull this off, it could be viewed as the greatest comeback in NBA history.

 

So his lackadaisical attitude on defense, and his attitude about not supporting his teammates while on the court has nothing to do with the lack of team chemistry?
