Trump's moronic Israel First and Enrich My Family First is so destructive for America. It is, however, just stupid to think in terms of this stopping China from taking over Taiwan. Like Russia and China I am not happy with their lack of personal freedom, particularly their lack of free speech-- just like I hate the growing crimnalization of free speech in this country, especially with respect to the Zionist mess in Israel. However, we can't just go killing or fighting wars against countries with undesirable levels of personal freedoms.

1) We can't militarily win a war right off China's coast. Wake up! 2). It won't be necessary as Taiwan will be absorbed peacefully. More and more of the Taiwanese are going to want to join China --or at least be unwilling to die in a totally hopeless losing war. This will be increasingly true as as China becomes increasingly as modern and prosperous as Taiwan. Every year the number of Taiwanese travelling to China is increasing. I know a person from Taiwan in Houston whose family had a happy family reunion visit with the aunts and uncles who did not manage to escape to Taiwan when Chiang Kai-Shek left China.

 

This post is bizarre. i understand not agreeing with Trump on how he is handling the situation, but to have sympathy for a murderous regime because it goes against your political party's alignment? Im sure if Trump was president during WWII, you'd support hitler too. Party over Country

there is way too much economic inter-dependence between the two; re-unification is the most pragmatic option,

rising # of young Taiwanese enterpreneurs and Taiwanese retirees have been relocating to China

China is not going to violently take over Taiwan. That is an overblown fear. Now, if China were led by someone with a more impulsive, aggressively expansionist style of decision-making like Trump, then that fear would be 100% valid.
