Good only if significant change comes.

    But they’ll blame Katie’s, Fred’s, Steven’s injuries.

Losing to Thunder >>>> swept by Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, Luka Nard, Bronny Sr. & Jr.

Can you even run it back after getting swept by swept by Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, Luka Nard, Bronny Sr. & Jr. lol

The number of idiots here is honestly astounding. I left Twitter hoping to find more sensible people elsewhere and ended up here but i've genuinely blocked about 20 people here in the span of 3days.

You can absolutely build a contending team without Sengun. There isn't a single player you simply cannot live without there are multiple ways to win. But trashing him without giving him the right personnel to flourish, combined with poor coaching says a lot about people's understanding of the game.

IMO, hiring an offensive or rather a coach who values BOTH sides of the game and trading Jabari and Tari for someone is simply good at basketball and who can actually shoot the ball (someone like Markkanen maybe) gives you a better chance and a longer window to at least reach the conference finals than trading Sengun for a 32 yo Giannis. Giannis, KD, Amen, Jabari, FVV..if that team doesn't win next year, its chances will drop off significantly in the following years. You'd only have a year basically. I'd rather watch smart players coached by a smart coach.

Here's how I'd fix the team...

Step 1: Give up. No one can fix this mess.

Seriously though, trade KD for whatever picks you can get. He is toxic and the negatives out weight the positives. Get rid of Ime and just roll with the lineup we have with hopefully a healthy Adams and FVV.

He's 5 years younger than KD...don't forget KD had his share of injuries in his early 30s
    Sengun
    Giannis
    Jabari
    Amen
    FVV

I see you point but I still disagree. KD can shoot. Giannis can't. How injuries and declining athleticism affects their court impact is going to look completely different. Honestly, look at Westbrook for a preview of Giannis near future.

    Agreed

    fire Ime, hire Chris Quinn

    fire stone, hire Rob Hennigan

trade KD to Miami for Herro and Ware

trade Sengun + DFS + picks to Milwaukee for Paolo (Giannis to Magic)

or keep Sengun and just dump DFS

    sign Kennard

    let Eason walk

    FVV/Reed
    Herro/Kennard
    Thompson
    Paolo or Sengun/Smith
    Ware/adams

The only problem is the fact that KD missed 2 games (while probably playing hurt in game 2), and assuming he also misses game 4, then Stone and Ime will probably use that as an excuse for keeping their spot.
Don’t get me wrong - I 100% agree that there are problems with this team, and the fact we’re down 0-3 vs. this injured Lakers, even with no KD, is really unbelievable. If Stone and Ime weren’t stuck on their belief we can get it together with no pg, and try to make moves of trading redundant contracts + picks for decent guards, we could have our own type of Kenard on our team that would save us this series. I don’t think there’s a single fan here who doesn’t know that at least one of these two clowns needs to go. I just hope that they won’t get saved by the excuse of KD’s absence in this series.

Lovely, trade Sengun and Reed + picks at least to get a 32 year old Giannis and a decrepit Kawhi Leonard.

Giannis only played 36 games this year, has a game entirely reliant on athleticism and physicality, and would be the youngest of the "Big 3" at 32. Durant will be 38, and Kawhi Leonard hasn't played defense in years.

And how exactly are Giannis and Amen supposed to share the court? You can't win with two non-shooters on the court, teams will just play free safety and cut off the rim. If you plan on trading Amen for the big 3, then how is this roster any better than the current one?

If your GM ever tells you his amazing plan to blow up the roster and replace everyone with a bunch of old dudes, it's time to let him go, alongside the Coach who evaluates players entirely through xGRIT and Sandpaper%.

Trade up for more broken nuclear weapons, which usually fails. It’s an option. Or trade out and start again with draft picks which also fails more than not because draft picks are more volatile than ever. We are in a bad position to say the least. But staying the course is not gonna magically work itself out. Think the best option is to trade up and likely come up short for a few years then start from scratch three years from now.

other franchises can sell their fans on Sengun, bari, Sheppard, and amen if they are willing to move on from the same position we find ourselves.

This is exactly right and why I'm ready for the Lakers to sweep us... you can't run it back and it forces you to make big change(s).

I'm ready to find out the new draft lottery rules and then take one last massive gamble to comptete in 2026 (with a #1 defense) before blowing it up.

OKC and SA will have a stranglehold on the West at least through 2030, so I'd say to start stockpiling picks and target 2030 to be competitive again. Get as many chances as possible to land a generational superstar between now and then.

I f'd up and forgot to record the game. I watched all of the games from the three losing seasons. Guess it shows I had given up on this season. . Is it really true that 1) KD was not on the bench? and 2) He has requested a trade? If so grant, his pathetic wish.
