Rockets opened up the series as the heavy betting favorite at -750

Gonna challenge some of yall to find a more disappointing year than this one in franchise history.

I know some will say the 0-27 Rockets but that team at least did what most thought they were going to do, lose a tough series to GSW.

This team was predicted to be a contender this season and going out being swept by Rui Hachimura and Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart.

None of these people watched the rockets this season, and apparently neither did the sports books.

4.5 point favorites in game 4, lmao!!!

I was very proud of that 17-18 team…they gave some great memories and fought hard against an overpowered team

I’m ashamed of this year’s team

The next season was embarrassing too when we got killed by gsw with no kd for the last 2 games. And cp3 looked fat the entire year so he went vegan with okc.

I can't even find anything to take away from this series. It's not even real playoff experience.

I hope KD isn't on the bench for game 4. It would almost certainly mean he's out of here.

This series had loss written all over it. I wanted to believe, but this is no surprise at all.

Start from the top, all the way from Tilman to his dipshit son, the GM and the coach.

All the non-idiots Rockets fans knew we needed another PG on this roster but instead Stone signed DFS and knowing that he was going to be injured half the season. NAW just won most improved player btw, could've had him last summer.

After the sweep, Stone and Ime both need to be gone. It'd be great if the person making the decisions isn't a nepo hire but Tilman ain't selling the team any time soon.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but if we do get swept, it's gonna be the first time again since 1990 and again by the frickin Lakers? :(

This team is disappointing because we thought we finally were going to take the next step this year and that our young stars were going to really stand out. Instead it's the opposite and it seems like they regressed and it's hard not to feel like trading them while their value is at their peak may be the best path forward.

I said it before, despite having a winning season, this has been one of most miserable seasons as a fan. I've watched a lot of garbage over the years but the expectations were that we were going to be bad so it was expected. This year though, it seemed like we were going to make some huge strided and jump to the upper echelon of the league and instead we showed how poorly we built and how flawed all of our young players are with none of them appearing to have superstar potential.

It's as if we are likely going to be good enough to be in the playoffs the next few years but not good enough to ever make any actual noise. First round fodder.

Ya how can your so called leading scorer not be out there rooting for your team?

Hope he is traded for some good expiring contracts, picks. Rockets also really need to find
some better players to put around Sengun and Amen.

Billy Donovan would be a good quick replacement after the udoka fire!.

I think the most embarrassing playoff loss in Rockets history is game 2 in the 2nd round in 1994 against the Suns. After losing game 1 at home, they blew a 20-point lead with 10 mins left to go down 0-2.

It birthed the term "Choke City". We all know what happened next.

I do think that Reed and Jabari shown growth this season. Amen a bit?

I do worry about Amen, if he can't shoot and if he can't reliably play PG then he's a glorified role player. The potential is that he can play PG AND/OR shoot...he's doing neither. Someone compared him to Westbrook but Russ in his prime was a bonafide PG. I don't see that from Amen yet.

I am confident that Jabari is a 20+ PPG efficient scorer with opportunity. He has lapses on defense (our entire team does) and does dumb things...but again...that's the ENTIRE team including KD...so at this point we have to wonder if things would look sharper/better. I don't know if Jabari is a superstar or ever will be one but I feel like he can be a fringe all-star player if given the right situation and he's still a baby at 22 years old which is crazy. We pretty much drafted a high school player.

Sengun is Sengun, I'm not sure what else he can add to his game to take him to the next level, he just has to consistently dominate more, if he's able to.

I think though definitely now...we lost the KD trade. I think we got worse. Chemistry definitely got worse and for all of Jalen's faults he at least played hard and gave effort and of course Brooks was a team leader. We tried to take a shortcut to contending and paid for it. Maybe we can argue there were better trades for Green out there, not sure, but the trade we made did make us worse.

As for where we are at...I think taking it year to year is the only way to do it. Teams that seemed destined for contention can have their fortunes changed in one season...as we are experiencing right now. Just build the best team you can build and make your good fortune.

I hope the Rockets are patient moving forward, Giannis won't fix this. It'll just make us playoff fodder until he resigns or wants out then we'll be back to hard tanking again. We'll be better off moving on from KD with whatever we can get for him and trying our best to build a TEAM around the young players we have and going from there.

That team was a torn hamstring away from a ring, that team brings up feelings of utter agony, but not disappointment.

This team would be comperable to the 2014 Rockets team that lost to Portland, if Portland didn't even have LaMarcus playing and they got swept instead of being a buzzer beater 3 away from forcing game 7.

This team is so bad that people are looking back on the Harden-era playoff meltdowns and thinking that we didn't have it so bad then!
