Udoka post game- “these guys are scared of the moment “

To go the entire season without a dependable ball handler is the thing that needs to be addressed. Maybe you can experiment up until the trade deadline, but when you get there and you see what you’ve been doing ain’t getting it done, you have to address the problem. But they stubbornly said we don’t need no f****** PG. We are good!! And here we are with one of the worst playoff performances in team history. Gonna be an interesting offseason.

 

Back in 2023 during FA we could had signed harden out right we had the cap space to give him the max, or do a sign and trade i forgot who would be part of it but it was not going to be anyone from our young core at the time which was JG,Sengun and Jabari. Harden with a young core of JG,Sengun and Jabari would had been super fun to watch.. but instead stone hired Ime because he wanted to look like the smartest men in the room and the first thing Ime did was tell stone i don't want to coach harden sign FVV and DB.

 

Good young core sure but they aren't taking you anywhere. Still need a star. And also an actual coach.

 

Ime didn't tell Jabari to pass the ball to Amen when he was covered on defense.
Ime didn't tell Tate to foul a 3pt shooter.
Ime didn't tell Reed to lose the ball when dribbling up the court.
I agree Ime is not the best coach, but damn we got some dumb players on this team and makes it worse they can't shoot!
Shout out to Sengun for showing up tonight...he saved his a$$ from getting traded.
I'm not quite ready to give up on Reed, but if we had an opportunity to get Collin Sexton as a backup point guard then we might have to adios to Reed!

 

After the horrendous turnover by Jabari and foul by Tate, you can see Ime screaming obscenities and returning to his seat in an angry daze. Fans can act like that, but that’s not how a leader should behave. He should have been stoic, grabbed a tablet/clipboard, projected confidence, and figured out the next play that would right the ship and calm the players enough to close the game. Ime is not a good leader.

Amen, Jabari and Sengun ARE the stars bro. They need playmakers around them because they can’t initiate the offense. A competent point guard, a rebounding center that passes well and wing depth will take this team a long way

 

All fairness, Stone didn't help our team during the trade deadline...it was evident we needed a point guard.
I guess he was trying to evaluate Reed to see if he can be FVV's successor...its not looking good at this juncture

 

The team should just refuse to suit up for him after that bullshit. That's not a coach, it's an egotistical asshat who can't accept responsibility for the myriad of failings in his approach. **** Ime. I actually do now hope the team just throws the game the way KD clearly did tonight.

Final straw, Ime has to go. Your job as coach is to INSTILL CONFIDENCE in your players. Get the best out of them. Ime is doing the opposite of that by poor mouthing our very own teammates to the press. Unbelievable. You just do not do that. A leader takes ownership and privately delivers constructive feedback. As in, something useful. Not insults. Ime just doesn't understand management/leadership psychology. He's not a winner when it's good-on-good, like in the playoffs.

again we were a dumpster fire, and no coach worth a damn wanted to be here, it has been reported on here by our insiders that Ime told harden to go to other teams we don't need him here not once but twice again Ime has more control then you like to think with his roster building. but he lost this damn team and it's obvious at this point.

 

Stone is taking notes and has already decided who the next coach is for the Rockets.
