apparently he was getting treatment but he had all day to do that How bad can this ankle injury be anyways? He didn’t look hobbled in game 2 Why was he diving for a loose ball in practice before the playoffs too? I can’t recall KD diving for a single loose ball all season, but he’s doing so in freaking practice like he’s a rookie trying to make the team?
As someone with good insight into this, you don’t need treatment, stretches, icing etc 24/7 or so much so that you have to give up 2-3 hrs of game time with periods where you can walk back to the locker room and not be able to attend the game. If the injury is that severe you’re non weightbearing and there’s no way you’d be able to come back (Adams injury for example) and he would be better off at home, and we would be waiting for an MRI (they didn’t even think it was severe enough to get imaging). Nothing adds up this is a pretty big copout on their part and coincidentally right after Jabari called him out also with regards to his knee injury…his MRI a couple of days ago was completely normal, no inflammation etc
Oh they definitely told him not to bother showing up, not at home, not when it's not the type of injury that needs more rest than treatment. If he's not on the bench Sunday he's probably on his way out.
Getting treatment? You can't take 2.5 hours away from that to support your young team? Give them advice? Cheer them on? The biggest game of the season and a loss means the series is over anyway so the treatment doesn't mean a thing. Just a bizarre situation all around.
Durant has a history I was hoping it was false as a massive UT homer but at this point he is who most think he is. A diva b**** and a bit of a coach killer. The Suns were actually better without him this year,
He was on the bench in game 1. Thats all you need to see to know that this is a BS reason not to be there game 3. Katie Dickerson quit on the team. What a train wreck of a trade. Would have rather kept the "kids" and most importantly draft picks together.
