1. Traded for 37-year-old KD but waves the white flag mid-season despite glaring holes at PG and C positions. Literally punted the seasln, what a r****d. 2. Wasted 4 years on Sengun and signed him to a massive extension. I have been warning since 2021 and now no one wants him. 3. Bringing in a bunch of redundant role players like Tari Okogie DFS Tate who can’t shoot or drive and believing they are enough to compete. Whitmore was the one guy who can actually put the ball and he traded him for nothing. 4. Believing that Amen and Senguncan be successful. This is 2026. Having two non-shooters will not translate to success. Should’ve sold high on Sengun.
Jalen is the biggest mistake. It was the highest pick we had for the entire rebuild and to get absolutely nothing out of the 2nd pick in the draft is just brutal. I will fully admit he's the guy i wanted, but man that one stings. He did get bailed out of the horrific extension with the kd trade thank god.
I can understand the rationale of drafting Jalen. Even though in hindsight Mobley was the better player, I don’t think he will ever become a reliable number 1 option.
Seeing the improvement of most teams especially in the playoffs after making moves at the trade deadline is another testament of the utter failure of stone and the front office. I seriously want this guy to go
Trading nets pick back should be number 1. Because it turns out we still could have gotten kd without the phx picks to gain leverage lmfaooo
We needed more jalen data, we didn't know how shitty ime offense is lol we thought it was just jalen fault lol we get too impatient on our young guys and u do too.
Drafting teenagers again and again and not having the coaching staff to help them develop. Then the coaching staff we do have blames them constantly. The young players only get playing time because the GM fully constructed roster has historically huge holes in it to force the stubborn coach to play the kids. The coach then constantly has different standards for different players so no one grows. IF the team finds any success the coach will revert back to his original positions. The coach doesn’t want any growth just his way of playing basketball. The organization has stated all our issues are because of injury of a player that really slowed down last year to the point where retirement could / should have been a choice AND an often injured center. Both rewarded with over paid contracts. We have an aging superstar first ballot hall of fame player that just wants to score points the catch the next HOF player career stats. He is so not into the team that he, like the coaches, talks poorly about the other players. He doesn’t do to their face but behind social media. We have helped the teams that we own draft capital in to the point where the picks have little value.
Na, it’s very clear he has no path to being a true impact guy. He sucked with silas and silas ran a great offense. He’s sucked with ott as well. It is what it is, the rockets just whiffed. It happens.
Ya his system generates great shots. We had no talent so we obviously sucked, but his system is light years beyond ime’s.
All he did was stand in corner with Silas and haven’t been in OTT long enough yet … but for someone people keep saying sucked so bad - he can do the one thing no one else on this roster can ….
