Well, and the fact that PHX wanted to get rid of Durant. It's not like KD wanted out -- from what I've seen and heard from KD.

Sengun might have hurt his trade value, but I doubt any NBA office thinks he's going to regress or has been fool's gold. They may or may not be high on him to be a tier 1 star, but he's at least going to have Sabonis value.
If everyone played like they did this year -- absolutely not. But that's my whole point. I think it's more likely that this was a fluke year performance wise. Sengun plays like he did against GSW and we are dominating this series.

I also don't disagree that Ime's coaching is a problem. I just think he's done more good than bad and rather than replace him we should supplement him with offensive minded assistants.

If you're worried about getting through a season with KD at 38, why would you advocate for trading away depth to acquire a 31 year old injury plagued Giannis?

The only balancing the roster needs is a point guard or two. And consistent shooting,

I want us to get swept so the embarrassment will truly hurt and maybe force some serious changes. You cannot tell me being the laughing stock of the playoffs for our incompetence - offense and many also questioning Ime and Stone (roster) - is not bothering Fertits. Maybe he can stop crawling out of Trumps ass and get on some in his own organisation!

Would love to see Sengun traded for Brandon Miller but I would imagine Miller's value isn't near that low.

    What I want:
    Ime fired
    Durant, FVV, Adams traded
Sengun shopped and if you get a top 5 pick in 26 and a good young player or two sell high. If not keep him.
Tari signed for 10m a year
    What will happen:
Running it back with FVV, KD, and Adams coming back.
Some random vet forward that shoots ok and plays defense
Tari signs somewhere else or sign and trade for said random vet that shoots ok and plays defense.

I agree with you on this one thing ^^^^^^^
We should have stayed patient with Francis/Mobley and let Yao continued to grow with them...you gave me a different perspective. Francis wasn't the problem, Jeff Van Gundy was the problem...
We traded for T-Mac and we still couldn't get out the first round with Van Gundy as coach.
As soon as we fired his ass and hired Adelmam, we got out the 1st round -> granted injuries is the big "what if" during the Adelman years.
In conclusion, maybe another option is to fire Ime and hire another coach. My hesitation is who are the available coaches on the market that are actually better than Ime???

The Pelicans was the first team to successfully implement this strategy and come back from 20+ points to beat us...JJ Reddick is doing a copycat, but he's doing something even smarter: putting a long athletic wing on Reed to keep him from getting to his spots. Ime has to make the adjustment and start Reed.
They're saying Austin Reeves could play on Friday which in my opinion is not a bad thing because he's a terrible defender. We can hunt his ass on defense as well

I've never advocated trading for Giannis, I've been against the idea from the beginning. I've been saying for years now that we should not be trading for any stars over age 30, but should instead acquire players who fit the timeline of a rebuilding team.

I hope you're right and the young players improve dramatically next season. I'm not giving up on them, or at very least Amen, Reed, and Jabari (on the fence right now with Sengun and Tari though).

I’m all for firing Ime , he’s been horrible but so has Stone.
Stone has been just as stubborn and incompetent at his job as Ime.
That DFS signing and not trading Tari when his value was higher crippled this team and not bringing in an additional player when it was ALL kinds of players that would have helped (AYO, Colby white, Luke Kennard, Colin sexton, Tyus jones etc)
And the rumor is he refused to trade for a guard to try to force Ime to play Reed.
If that is true that is a fireable offense of committing malpractice because his ego got involved and he wanted to be petty.
This reminds me of the Nuggets when the coach & GM got into it and the owner got rid of both.

Both need to be fired and about half this roster needs to be traded or cut.

    it’s literally that bad

Yeah I was saying fire Ime to get Mike Malone while he was available, but I just heard he signed with a college team so we’re screwed now

Doesn't matter ,Suns and Rockets are good teams but in this playoff West they are just bottom dwellers who basically exchange trash for trash. Nobody really afraid of these teams.
