It’s a fair perspective. I’m seeing some people say they don’t care if Durant plays in the playoffs and that makes me wonder: then why the F did we give up Brooks and a decent prospect in Maluach? We could have stayed younger. Personally I can understand the acquisition but I don’t think they built a system around Sengun or Amen. They essentially built a team around FVV and were going to drop Durant into it. Maddening either way.
To be fair not a single one of the 30+ year old players contributed a damn thing (Tate does not count) in game 1. All injury related, so who knows what happens if at least 3 of the 4 were doing something. As far as the thread and what it's asking goes, that is just an asinine and idiotic notion.
That's exactly what happens when you don't have a point guard. They doubled and tripled Sengun and KD the whole game because we don't have a point guard who can take the ball out of their hands and create shots for them. Sengun literally couldn't post up once because they closed the baseline. But this isnt really a KD or Sengun issue it's a coaching and GM issue. We needed a point guard and we had someone who even slightly resembled one in Reed, but they refused to address it. Now Sengun and KD, two 6'11" guys, have to create for themselves. ****ing disgusting. Two bigs trying to run pnr with each other just to get looks. **** everyone responsible for this.
The problem is the Rockets suck almost as bad with Durant. The Spurs are the second best team in the league with Victor.
Ironic that it was wb and kd who will set us back into tanking again while them leaving the thunders blessed them eventually. We have to stop going for old ass stars and grow our talent naturally we are not the Lakers.
KD is a massive choker on the big stage, underperformed with all of his teams since the Warriors & Thunder. At least Harden got **** done.
There was no internal growth happening since apparently the house of cards came tumbling down once Fred and Steve got injured. And they still have 5 of the first rounders they've selected.
They had a chance to win game 2 down to the final minutes. They didn’t game 1. If Eason and Sheppard hit their 3’s we would have won
They're playing a team that isn't even a contender when fully healthy missing their two best players. What exactly is your point? We should applaud them for not being blown out?
The mistake since the beginning was trying to fast track our rebuild by going for a flashy name who was never in our timeline. We need a much younger star who could've been our leader and take a risk with some of our young guys. Cannot just hold on everyone save Green and expect to win within a 2-3 year window. KD also is NOT the player who you bring in as a mentor to your developing guys. That's what FVV was for. Getting rid of Green was the right move, but for KD? No.
There pretty much dead on, he doesnt look like a leader, and he never has been. So do they go out and look for a real one then?
