I do co-sign 99% of this, but let's not pretend that if Sengun isn't here next season there won't be a small contingent of CF members who are no longer Rockets fans lol, they literally only came here because he did and they'll go wherever he goes. No other player we've drafted post-Harden has that, and it's an objective fact.

Then they can leave when Sengun gets traded or he leaves. Until then, we'll have a small minority of Sengun fans, and as we can see just by the posts on this thread, clearly the SOFs are not as delusional as the JOFs with their MJ comparisons lol. Even in college MJ was a champion and a million times the player Jalen has been. To compare Jalen to Jordan is to insult his all time greatness.

Michael Jordan in 3 years of college:

    Major National Awards
    Conference & Team Awards (ACC/UNC)
    • NCAA Champion (1982)
    • ACC Player of the Year (1984)
    • ACC Rookie of the Year (1982)
    • First-Team All-ACC (1983, 1984)
    • ACC Tournament MVP (1984) (Implied by conference dominance)
    • NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team (1982)
    Other Highlights
    • 1984 Olympic Team Member (Selected while at UNC)
    • No. 23 Jersey Retired by UNC

Like I said, I agree with the other 99% of the post lol, that dude is WILD for even mentioning Jalen's bum ass in the same conversation as Jordan. I actually think it'd be a huge insult if he was even compared against our own star guards like Harden, TMac or Drexler, never mind the greatest guard ever (not the GOAT, that's Dream.)

Once again, I wish Jalen nothing but the best, but he has some delusional fans.

Probably the best thing for him and his career was leaving Houston

Jalen got scapegoat. Our team composition was dogsht, missing an actual pg to create offense for our nonshooters. Should have gotten rid of fvv to find a pg or trade green for a pg.

Kd was just a bandaid bc he can score which green failed to do in his first playoff series being inconsistent.

Did you quote the wrong post? Honestly having a hard time understanding where I'm pretending about Sengun in my post.

2 points in the second half when they decided to shut him down and let Alpi spam shots

I don't know how this turned into a JG = MJ thread, but I do miss JG and DB. JG was extremely inconsistent and KD is obviously better, but the chemistry has been off this year. KD has really poor body language at times when things go wrong (as if he's Mr Perfect with his 9 TO yesterday), and the whole burner thing... I thought it was the right move last summer, but I miss our boys. DB is a pain when he's on the other side, but he may have been that leader that we are missing this year. We accelerated our timeline with the move, and if we don't come back vs the Lakers, I see a panic move this offseason. If you look at Giannis and KD, you have a really short timeframe to contend. Giannis' game is all athleticism, that won't age well. Kind of wish they'd continued with what we had, but too late now.

I'm having a hard time now debating who should have been traded, Jalen or Sengun. Our "all star" is shooting 38.3% against the lakers:

Why 38% is particularly "bad" for a center
    • Shot Distance: Centers typically take most of their shots near the basket—high-percentage looks like layups, dunks, and post-up hooks . An elite big man is expected to shoot 50–60%+ from the field .
    • Positional Benchmark: While a 38% FG% might be "passable" for a guard who shoots a high volume of difficult 3-pointers, it is a "stinker" for a primary interior scorer .
    • Comparison to Peers: Other elite centers in the 2026 playoffs, like Nikola Jokić, typically maintain FG efficiencies well above 55% .
    • Series Impact: Şengün's efficiency has dropped from his regular-season average of 52.2% to just 38.3% in this series . This drop-off is a major reason why the Rockets currently trail the Lakers 0–2, as teams that win the FG% battle win nearly 80% of the time.
Even AI is prompting it is a "stinker", you cant make this sht up

Jalen went 3 for 12 (0 for 5 from 3) in the second half tonight and had 7 turnovers. He doesn't need Sengun around to play lousy.

This is also why he is hot at times, he knows no shame and has no conscience.

No matter how bad Sengun could be, he'll never be as bad as Jalen.

If you're having a hard time debating who to get rid of, that's more a reflection on you.

Jalen needs more space! He needs all 9 players to clear out so it's only him and the 3 refs on the floor :D

This is what I don't get about the delusional JOFs. They talk about Sengun alot, which I get because they feel like a scorned girlfriend after he was traded from the Rockets and instead the Rockets kept Sengun. Got it. But then, Jalen lays worse eggs and more often than Sengun. Somehow that makes Jalen like MJ? It just doesn't make sense. Not Jalen's fault by the way, it's just I don't get the delusions of his fans.
