Two points related to Ime: Why would you put this much burden on KD coming off a knee contusion? He had an Achilles injury from coming back too soon from an injury so I'm sure he's not all there physically and mentally. I gave Ime slack due to the roster because the young core did young core things like not being able to execute counters to double team. Like we should have an advantage if they double us then we can attack 4 on 3. But Ime had all season to work out the issues and try different counters.
Disgusting how an Ex Spur has so much say in this organization, esp. one that has no Creativity on Offense.
There are way more coaches better than Ime in this league than I thought lmao we are f***ed bad. Look at the Suns. Ott is an excellent hire. Hornets have a good one. Denver, OKC, Spurs, Wolves, Lakers. GSW. Boston, NYK, CLE, PHI, MIA, BKN (yes Brooklyn), IND, DET Heck even Splitter is great in his tactical adjustment. Arguably even Utah has a good one. I counted 18.
That is my thing. People can say we should have more talent but...82 games and we have not figured out how to beat a double team or how to use KDs gravity so that other players can get easy shots? Newsflash. Kennard, Rui, and Smart are not good players, they are not players anyone wants, Ayton barely was able to find a team to be on this upcoming season...why are they all outplaying our guys? Again, why is KD initiating offense? It's the easiest thing to understand, if he does this, it allows the defense to prepare, it makes their rotations easier. Why isn't KD getting the ball more after 2 or three passes, making the defense react and make hard decisions of "Should I leave Reed/Bari/Tari or should I go double KD?" When KD gets the ball to initiate offense it simply allows the defense to load up, pack the paint, and rotate off the double. Does Ime not realize they have a plan for that? They know exactly who they want to send, who they are leaving open, what gaps to fill, because we're making it so easy for them to do.
What's disgusting is how the Rockets seemingly got the only branch off the Pop tree who's utter garbage and grossly incompetent.
This is what happens when you make a video of it and celebrate it to the players. Way to entitle a horrible coach Rafail.
The announcers last night kept praising how well the Lakers defend. The fact is, any CF posters could devise a defensive game plan that would stop the Rockets. It's so EASY.
$66M for 6 years through the 2030-31 season, my God...fakkkkkk we are screwed. I dont see how Tilman cans him this early in the contract. He's at the very least stuck here for one more season.
The enormity of how absolutely garbage the ownership of this franchise is, is setting in. It's no coincidence the GM and coach are so f'cking garbage, when the owner is that bad. Misery loves company. It's no wonder Tilman wants people as equally as incompetent as him in those positions.
its like asking whether id want to get hit in the stomach with a bat or stabbed in the heart. Most would take their chances with the Bat, if you catch my drift
One thing about this forum is, as time goes on, whoever is currently in the position is the worst. That's a given. People begging for JVG, D'Antoni, etc. to return when they were vilified back in the day. Weird thing is nobody ever seems to mention the other coaches that were clowned or afterthoughts that we let go like Bickerstaff, Nurse, and Finch.
Is Joe Jackson still alive? We know he can lead a starting 5 @Os Trigonum @Jontro @Salvy @LosPollosHermanos
Ime’s pretty much has had a built in excuse since the beginning of the season with FVV being injured, add on the Adams getting hurt mid season and KD coming off a knee injury. So I don’t expect him to get fired, unless we get swept and even then I doubt it
